This is my local pub being only a couple of minutes' walk away. The food is excellent and the beer superb. I should go there more frequently and would recommend it to anyone.

The entry in tripadvisor has the wrong address and location. The address is:
36, Brookside, Stretton on Dunsmore, Cv23 9LY

Went to this Public House for a meal while attending a nearby Exhibition.Liked it so much I came back for the rest of the period I was there.

Excellent venue, good variety on menu and pleasant service at all times. Good selection of real ales.

Worth making the effort to find - will be back next year!

we have been visiting for some months now and do not have a bad word to say. we usually eat at lunchtimes, but i now visit in the evening with friends,it is such good value. we also came as a family for fathers day. excellent attentive service and the food was so hot, full of flavour with speedy service. the use of local meat and other ingredients is great and the freshness is evident. great atmosphere and even though we are not that local Dan and Amy always make us welcome
thanks very much. i'd recommend this little gem to everyone.

Turn off at the mini roundabout and see the Oak and Black Dog on your left. Mind the step on entering before being welcomed by Dan and /or Amy. A real country pub with a nice feel and service to match.Cask ales, beers, wines and spirits to tempt you and a food menu to go with it.
Cuisine is British and of good standard with decent portions. Sunday lunch has roasts,(the lamb is great!!) as well as a full other choice. They will even do a take away sandwich which would be hard to beat anywhere. Friendly, cosy and happy atmosphere and well supported by locals. This was our third visit and it gets better every time.
