Description: Pavo Real by the Sea is an intimate, magical restaurant at the edge of the best beach in the world. You will come for the gorgeous view, you will come back for the incredible food prepared by Chef Alfonso Gonzalez and the attentive service and excellent wine list. Enjoy cocktails in the open-air bar at the edge of the beach, then choose a table in the garden or in the cozy salon decorated with original art, sit back and let us serve you a meal you won't be able to forget. The menu includes fresh foie gras, local fish and seafood, rack of lamb, beef tenderloin, bouillabaisse...And more. For a really special occasion, reserve a private romantic dinner on the beach. We look forward to your visit.

We went to this restaurant 11 friends and I and we all enjoyed it. We had wonderful meals, rack, lobster, mar y tierra, bouillabaisse, grouper, etc... The service was excelent and friendly. We appreciate that the chef Guillaume came at the end of our diner. Then we visited the hotel kin sol soleil and we loved it! Great experience!

We were staying in playacar for our anniversary and wanted a romantic, classy gourmet meal to celebrate. I did some research on tripadvisor and came across Pavo Real. The setting in stunning. Off the main road you drive through the jungle and out of nowhere is Pavo. As you walk through the property you find yourself looking out onto the a crescent shaped beach where the only waves are the ones that break right at shore. We had outside seating with the beach/ocean as our view. As for the food, it was perfect as well as the service. I had the Stuffed Squid and I was fabulous!! You won't be disappointed....

This was by far the best dining adventure we've had. Well worth the trip by taxi or rental car. You will find yourself on a beautiful and mostly empty beach - Maroma Beach - and your table just steps away from the finest sand I've ever come accross. Great atmosphere with lit lanters and ocean breeze. The Sweet Potato Saffron soup was delicious and the Lamb dish was also very tasty. At our table, we also tried the Surf & Turf option with steak and lobster and this got raving reviews as did the catch of the day. If you like white Italian vino, then the Santa Margarita went super well with the seafood and fish dishes. Hope you enjoy this amazing place. I for one will be back:)

We went to the restaurant with my husband two weeks ago and it was amazing. amazing food, amazing service, amazing beach. We took a lobster and a rack and it was delicious. They offer us to visit the hotel Kin Sol Soleil where the restaurant is ubicated and we enjoyed it. For sure we will stay there next year.

As a 'foodie' I am always on the look out for great restaurants. When planning our holiday to Mexico I saw this restaurant review on Trip Advisor and booked directly with the restaurant from the UK by email. This was acknowledged immediately and we were really looking forward to dining here. The taxi drive from our hotel was 25 minutes. We were met at the reception of the Amarte Hotel in Maroma Bay and chaffeur driven through the 'jungle' to the restaurant which took about 5 minutes. Here we were met and walked to the restaurant.
We had booked as advised by the restaurant for 5.30pm so we could see the sun set. Although we were early and our table was ready we chose to have drinks overlooking the ocean in wonderful cream leather chairs. We never felt rushed and it was only when we asked to go to our table that we were taken. There was a table laid on the beach (for another couple), such a romantic setting and as dusk fell, the lanterns were lit.
The menu was concise but wonderful and varied with French influences. We were bought a selection of bread and a muse bouche - salmon on a crostini. I chose the seafood salad to start and my husband had a scallop veloute soup which was the best he had ever tasted.
I was unable to decide between the lobster and fillet steak for main course so our fab waiter Joshua offered me a 'surf and turf' option - what a choice this was. Just amazing!! My husband ate the chicken stuffed with shrimp - again just divine!
Sadly, after a bottle of wine, 2 pre dinner drinks and two fabulous courses we were unable to manage dessert.
Our bill was 2,200 pesos and comparing this to a comparable meal in the UK represented incredible value for money.
This restaurant is part of a 9 room boutique hotel. On this occasion there were 4 tables set in the garden patio area and several others inside. One set on the beach but obviously space for more. So romantic, so unrushed, it was a wonderful dining experience which we will remember and talk about for a long time - thanks to everyone at the restaurant.
We have been fortunate enough to have eaten in many restaurants around the world but this is probably one of the most magical dining experiences we have ever had.
