We can't seem to get enough of this place! From the moment you enter the main lobby, you feel the "Welcome Home" experience. Our concierge, Diana, was outstanding. She went above and beyond, even doing a personal errand for us. So many quality people work here, they are truly the gems of this beautiful paradise. If you want to make excursion plans, be sure to see Luis at Lomas Travels. Very conveniently located on the property. He is sure to make whatever you plan an experience not to be forgotten. The wait staff and bar staff go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Bar 24 has some of our favorite mixologists. Rene, Emilio (ah, my friend..you will be sorely missed) and on the beach, Diego and Pedro. Papitos servers are outstanding, Oscar, Javier, Erioin, Jonas and the beautiful Ivette. Sabores will never be the same now that Israel has become a regular there. And I can't fail to mention Jeriamiah, evening server at Sabores, Ruben does an excellent job as server for the candlelight dinner. The butler service is top notch, Luis and Kenneth are A1.

The water is a beautiful blue and the sand is to die for! You can walk for miles along the coastline and lose yourself in paradise!

Once you visit this place, you will have the undeniable urge to return home again and again.

We stayed at El Dorado Maroma for the first time in July. We decided to try this resort because we had been to the marina next door to it and seen how beautiful the beach was. This was, by far, the most beautiful beach I have visited in Mexico. The sand is white and powdering and there were almost no rocks as you walked out into the clear blue water. There is also no seaweed like there is on a lot of other nearby beaches. The beach scored an A+! The resort staff were very nice and helpful, always greeting us and asking us if we needed anything. The rooms were beautiful and well laid out. We had a swim out with a large patio, a living area and a huge bedroom and bath. Again, no complaints here.
The biggest knock on the resort was the food. We left disappointed that not one of the meals blew us away. The staff seemed overwhelmed at dinner even when the restaurants were not that busy. The breakfasts were good and the lunches were nice, but nothing spectacular. However, the evening meals need improvement.
We would like to return, but hope that management makes some changes in the food department.

If you like to have a restful vacation in a relatively small boutique resort (102 rooms) this is the place for you. The food in the four restaurants is very good and the service is excellent. Not much nightlife, however. There are shows held each evening, but don't expect Vegas quality or any thing close to that level of entertainment. The beach is beautiful and so is the property itself.
There are so many excellent, friendly staff personnel, and I want to mention them because they helped make our stay fantastic. At the Papitos Restaurant, Javier and Jonas and hostesses Ivette and Cinthia. At Sabores Restaurant - Teadoro, Jesus and Israel. Erica, Eva and David at the Spa (a wonderful experience), and on the beach Diego and Diana were very attentive. Gabriel, who transported our luggage from the lobby to our villa, was very efficient and professional. Saulo and Kenneth were also very helpful, but what made our stay so comfortable and pleasant was the tremendous personal service from these three consummate professionals - our butlers, Karen, Marcella and the head butler of the resort, Luis.
We can't wait until we return to our favorite resort in Mexico - El Dorado Maroma!

Room Tip: Rooms away from the pool area will be quieter.

Words cannot express the service we received at El Dorado Maroma. This was our first trip to Mexico and we were amazed at the beauty of this resort. They upgraded our room to an infinity pool and we absolutely loved it! When we go on vacation we love to do as many excursions as we can. Luis the Lomas Travel representative hooked us up with many exciting adventures!!!!! Swimming with whale sharks was definitely a once in a life time opportunity! The resort is located at Maroma Marina so there are many activities you can do without leaving. You can swim with dolphins, parasail, ride jet skis, kayak, ride camels, kayak, fish, and much more! We normally don't like to go to the same place twice, but I would go back there in a heartbeat!
