One of the best places in town. I especially like their salads, specials and veggiburger. Fun to sit in the bar and watch a game.

Food, staff and owner all top notch! If you're in the Bridgeton, ME area do yourself a favor and pay a visit to the Black Horse Tavern. We had a party of seven all ordered different entree's and each one of us were thoroughly pleased. Owner came over to greet us, wait staff so very pleasant and attentive. Look forward to another dinner at this establishment or even a pop in for a burger and a beer to watch a football game!

Can't say enough about the variety, quality and taste of the food here. Lobster special with sweet potatoe was to die for. Autumn chicken is delicious. Best fried oysters I've ever had anywhere. The owners favorite steak is my favorite too. The staff is great too!

We were told this place had reasonable prices and great food... it has neither. The prices are way to high - $19 for fish and chips - $12 for a basic burger. And the food they serve is not worthy. We had a filet which was tough and could have been london broil - Seafood platter that although the batter was good the portion size was way too small for $28 ! Risotto was ok - nice carmelized onion flavor but it overtook all the other flavors and was more like a pile of flavored clumped rice. The crapcake and lobster special was ok but again - price for portion was way off ! $ 4 for a side salad with a meal ? really ? We were hungry after a busy day shopping and ate and then left - we won't be going back. Dinner for 4 with just sodas and no appetizers was over $100... not reasonable to me !
