“Wonderful B&B for comfort, innkeepers and location”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Wonderful! Last weekend my father and I stayed at the charming Noble House Inn and both loved it while visiting my daughter at Wyonegonic Camp. The location is fantastic, on a quiet street at the edge of Highland Lake that is a short walk (1/2 mile) from an adorable town with its main street bringing traffic between Portland and North Conway. The hilltop B&B has a charming front porch with rocking chairs and overlooks a spacious grounds. The hotel is tasteful (very limited chintz) and recently renovated. New owners Julie & Cindy took the helm in winter 2012 and are warm, helpful and cheerful...not to mention great cooks for breakfast every day. We are both very well traveled and appreciate the thoughtfulness and enthusiasm they brought with finding us dinner suggestions and discussing local events we might enjoy. This place is a treasure and we'd happily recommend it and stay there again.

Not only did you share your find of a "secret" waterfall at the end of a hike and let us in on how to get there too but you sent pictures AND this wonderful review - thank you both and we sincerely look forward to your next trip this way - y'all make this fun!

My wife and I have been staying here for the last 12 years for every 4th of July.
It is now under new ownership and I am pleased to say nothing has changed for the worse.
Cindi and Julie have kept the simple charm and fantastic ambience we have come to expect here. The breakfast and bottomless bowl of cookies are great! The addition of bottles of wine at very reasonable prices make an evening on the front porch memorable.
See you next year!

Room Tip: Whatever you choose room wise you won't be disappointed. Just tell Julie what you would like. T...

My husband and I just returned from Noble House Inn and had a great time. Cindi and Julie are the perfect innkeepers; they made us feel right at home in their incredibly warm and gracious B&B. The breakfast each morning was spectacular (be sure not to miss the strawberry french toast and the endless supply of "wicked" good home-baked cookies). Look out for the jigsaw puzzles in front of the fireplace, they are addictive..... Bridgton is a delightful Maine lake community and Noble House Inn is right across the street from the lake. Bridgton has several delicious places to eat (try Beth's for lunch and Black Horse Tavern for dinner). And during the summer, check out The DeerTrees Theatre! There's plenty to do, so be sure to stay a few nights! We're definitely going back!

We just love to share with first timers to Maine and you both made it so much fun - we loved it when you reported on your 1st days adventures that you'd had a ball and "never even got out of Bridgton!" It's just that kind of place, isn't it? We are eagerly making lists of new things to suggest for you to see/do when you come back.

My wife and I have just returned from a month long trip to the US and without a doubt, one of the highlights was our stay at The Noble House Inn. As soon as we pulled into the parking area we knew we were going to enjoy our stay in Bridgton. The Inn itself is beautiful with lovely grounds and it's location across the road from the lake but it's when you step inside you know you'll enjoy your stay. The interior is warm and inviting with lot's of places to sit and relax and the guest pantry always has plenty of goodies.

Cindi and Julie are both relatively new to inn-keeping but you wouldn't know it. They are the most gracious, helpful and attentive hosts and nothing seems to be any bother. They are always ready to help with directions and places to eat as well as general advice on the Bridgton area which has some incredible scenery with lakes, mountains and covered bridges some short drives away.

My wife has some specific dietary requirements and Cindi and Julie were excellent, adapting some of their breakfasts and even cookies(Yum, seriously!) to ensure that she did not miss out on the amazing food that comes out of their kitchen. We appreciated that a lot.

We stayed in the Library Room and we loved it! Warm and cozy with water views and the balcony is great to spend time on and soak in the atmosphere. The balcony is private when guests are staying in the Library room and it feels like your own little piece of Bridgton real estate :) Cindi gave us a tour of the entire Inn during a quiet period and all of the rooms are beautiful so no matter which one you stay in(and you SHOULD stay here) you will love the experience.

Thank you Cindi and Julie...we loved every second of our stay and have already started discussing our next stay at The Noble House Inn.

Such high praise from world travelers - you can't give us a better compliment than to say you felt comfortable and relaxed here - and we now have a couple of Aussies in our circle of friends - it just doesn't get much better! C & J

I’ve never written a review online before (of anything) but then again I’ve never stayed in the Noble House Inn, which is in a word: ‘Fantastic’! We wound through the back roads and the quaint small lake country towns of Maine and found the Inn late in the afternoon. The home and grounds are immaculate and it sits on a knoll just above the lake. The town and the Inn’s setting are lovely, and something about it just has that classic ‘New England’ feel to it.

Cindi met us when we came in and gave us the full-on ‘nickel’ tour and told us to ‘make ourselves at home’. We stayed on the second floor in a room with a cute Victorian feel with an adjoining den (with a library of books to browse), comfortable chairs to read, and a balcony to watch the sunset filter through the trees over the lake. We had a great dinner in town (on Cindi’s recommendation) and had a wonderful evening---we made new friends amongst the guests and enjoyed a rocking chair sit on the classic wrap around wood porch. We got nice long quiet night’s sleep followed by a tasty breakfast (Full Disclosure: it’s delicious!) of pastry, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, coffee, orange juice, quiche, sausage, and asparagus. I was literally stuffed.

We hit the road for Vermont late morning and left feeling like we’d been there a lot longer than just one night. We hugged Cindi and Julie and I think my wife said it best: “They’re just the kind of people that you feel like you’ve known you’re whole life just 5 minutes after meeting them”. I was thinking “I could stay another week or a month, ditch my phone and just let the world slow down for a while.” It’s just that kind of place, and exactly what we were looking for…

This is the first time I have written in 'trip advisor' and I admit that I should have a long time ago about our beloved Noble House Inn. We have been going here for about 9 years, usually three times in a year, but always twice, and the previous innkeepers Julie and Rick were absolutely phenomenal. We could never say enough about them so I won't even try, but suffice it to say it was always the best experience. When we found out that the Inn had changed hands we were very sad and nervous about how our experience might change. Well we just got back from our 'May' stay and all our worries and fears were put to rest with the fabulous new innkeepers, Cindi and Julie. They couldn't have made the transition go more smoothly and we are so very grateful. They were simply 'awesome' in all they did for us and everyone. It's so nice to see that they are carrying on some of the wonderful traditions @ Noble House, along with many new ones. It's exciting for us. You could not find a more beautful inn, with the best breakfasts', a great front porch with the best rocking chairs, the most delicious cookies on earth and well I could go on and on. So in conclusion I just want to say to Cindi and Julie, 'thanks, thanks so much' for continuing to make our visit feel like we are going home to visit family. We feel blessed and lucky every time we walk thru the door @ Noble House Inn and you will too!!

Room Tip: You can't go bad with any one room.

I've written three draft responses and each time thought - nope - too much - so I'll just say thanks for taking the time and for writing such a great review and as for all the rest - suffice to say: it's mutual - can't wait to see you in the fall!

Cindi was a gracious and attentive host. Going the extra mile to find us a driver for the night so these city folks didn't have to navigate the winding roads at night.
Breakfast was delightful and the cookie jar was truly "bottomless", as we tried our hardest to empty it.
Accommodations were comfortable but why stay in the room when there is a front porch looking out to the lake? Lovely setting.
