We almost always pick the Vacationland when coming to the Bangor area because of the price, the convenient location and the fact that they are continually upgrading their decor and renovations.
My husband always comments that the owner is a "good Christian man" a great former basketball coach and all the staff are friendky and effecient.
The wonderful waffles and breakfast are just a big bonus. I love that I can walk to so many stores from there while my husband watches sports on television. The proximity to the Bangor auditorium at tournament time is another huge reason we like this location.

Dear Vaued Guests:

Thank you for your comments. We agree The Bradfords are not only wonderful Christan people and a great basketball coach, they are amazing to work with and for. They allow us as managers and employees to a part of all the ongoing changes to the Inn. We look forward to seeing you again soon. The new Cross Center is less then 2 miles away from the Inn. There are many stores and restaurants within walking distance. I pray you were able to visit Marden's (just 1/3 mile away). See you on your next stay and we will be sure to let the Bradfords know your kind comments.

Blessings to you both!
Kind Regards,
Leeanne

We stayed at the Vacationland Inn this past weekend and were very pleased to see that they have renovated rooms and the breakfast eating area. It's a huge improvement and the eating area is much larger than before. Sarah was the girl at the breakfast bar and she was very friendly and helpful. Of course the waffles and sauce are the best!!! Great place to stay if you are on a shopping trip or just passing through. Would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Stay on the 2nd level, much quieter!!

Dear Valued Guest(s):

Thank you for lodging with us at Vacationland Inn. It is great to hear the feedback from our guests about our new lobby, breakfast area and redone rooms. The goal is to provide a true "Maine Experience" when guests lodge at Vacationland Inn. The homemade waffles and homemade blueberry sauce has become a favorite for most of our guests. We will be sure to share your comments with Sarah as well. Thank you for recommending us to other travelers. We look forward to being your home away from home when you need to come to the Greater Bangor area for shopping, business or play!

Kind Regards,
Leeanne

The old-woods look and feel is fun, but misleading. This inn is basically a truck-stop motel on the other side of the river across from Bangor. Easy access off Rt 395, Exit 5. A great price, which includes a plenty-to-eat, make your own waffles continental breakfast. The motel room was clean and roomy enough for our one night stay. The thermostat did not work, and was stuck at 74, so it made for a warm night. Also, a bit noisy. Room 114 is just too near the proverbial ice machine, so lots of noise at night. Maybe I'll ask for Room 140 to 144 down at the end of the hall, or a room in the back-building? Stayed one night to visit University of Maine at Orono (about 20 minutes north on Rt. 2) We deemed it a better alternative to Motel 6 or the Super 8 out on the Maine Turnpike.

Dear Valued Guest(s):

We appreciate you taking the time to give us your feedback regarding your stay at Vacationland Inn. We value our guest's feedback so we may improve for guest's future stays. Your stay was in one of the economy rooms in our Main Building. The newly purchased Ice Machine is around the corner from your room and was recently moved by our maintenance staff from its prior location which used to be just across the hall from 114. It is now located around the corner enclosed in a closet down the hall in our guest services area. We do have ample parking for large trucks and busses. On your return stay, see if Room 168 is available in our annex building. We recently upgraded to all queen beds from full size beds and this room is very large. Thank you again for lodging with Vacationland Inn.

Kind Regards,
Leeanne

Just got back from a romantic stay cation at the Vacationland Inn. It was quiet, cozy and very romantic. It allowed us to get away for the night yet stay close to home. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable king size bed, fireplace and two person hot tub in the room. Very close to restaurants and plenty of shopping in the area. Will defiantly stay there again as well as give gift certificates to others so they can I joy the best kept secret in the area.

We've stayed here twice and both times it has been the best stay of the trip. It is tidy, well kept, and an excellent value. We stayed in the rooms with whirlpool tubs and it is one of the few places where they are truly two-person tubs. And you can't beat the self-serve waffle breakfast in the morning! I recommend the strawberry and blueberry sauces with the waffles. The staff is friendly and accommodating as well.
