We hit the jackpot! Thanks to the reviews from other Tripadvisor contributors, we chose Greenleaf Inn. Couldn't have picked a better place if we had been there and found it for ourselves. The location was fabulous, right at the end of Commercial St., with a beautiful view of the harbor. From the first minute to the last it was a "Wonderful" experience. Jeff took us on a tour of the facilities and brought us to our room, nice touch. The room was absolutely adorable. I loved the location and the view from the little balcony off the bedroom. Perfect place for relaxing and people watching. When I made the reservation, I was asked if we had any food allergies. I thought that was very nice. The breakfasts were scrumptious. There were a few pastries, bagels, English muffins, hard cooked eggs, granola, all self serve. They were like appetizers for breakfast. We were served fresh fruit with homemade lemon yogurt and homemade granola. A beautiful Frittata with sausage. The next morning we had a delicious maple French toast, worth the trip. Jeff's nephew Ben is in charge of the kitchen, and he is amazing. There is a small fridge filled with juices, sodas and water free for the taking and everyday there are fresh cookies on the counter. This is a fabulous B&B and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone!!!

Room Tip: Loved our room, #1. Convenient, shares an outside wall with the front porch. People sit and relax, maybe party a little, so it could bother some people late at night. But the guests are so friendly, you might want to join them!😊

This was our 3rd visit to Boothbay Harbor and each visit has been outstanding and inspiring. The common element has been our home base--Greenleaf Inn. Jeff and Kim are gracious hosts with an eye on pleasing their guests and helping them get the most from their Boothbay Harbor experience. My wife and I really love everything about Greenleaf but the views looking up the harbor are really hard to beat in Boothbay Harbor. The relaxed atmosphere makes Greenleaf a terrific choice.

We stayed with our daughter recently and loved it! Everyone who worked there was so friendly and helpful. Our two story room was perfect for our family, and we had beautiful harbor views from the two balconies. The breakfast was delicious, and there was free coffee and beverages the entire stay. We'll definitely return.

This was our first visit to Greenleaf Inn. The room was perfect. Great location. Breakfast was wonderful. We had a great time. The shops and food were excellent. Boothbay is very scenic. Looking forward to a future visit in the fall next time.

We returned to the Greenleaf for a second visit and were as pleased with the experience as we had remembered. Jeff, Ben and the staff went out of their way to ensure a home-like atmosphere, anticipating the needs of their guests.

The grounds are extensively planted and impeccably maintained.

Each day starts off with a breakfast which is a treat. Our first day Ben made thin, crepe-like pancakes with crispy bacon; day two, a tomato frittata with sausage patty; day three, pineapple French toast with ham; day four, a spinach quiche with sausage links. Each meal began with a fruit cup with cinnamon yogurt. Every morning guests are invited to enjoy hard boiled eggs, pickled eggs, humus with pita bread and an assortment of breads and cereals. As I said, breakfast was a treat.

The property is located within easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. A short drive took us to the Maine Botanical Gardens which is worth a day’s visit—certainly a half-day visit.

The staff at the Greenleaf Inn goes out of their way to ensure a restful, relaxing stay.

One caution: some of the rooms are pretty small in the extensively renovated 1870-era house. Look carefully at the website—they give complete descriptions of each room and of each room’s amenities.
