We went to this restaurant last night with some friends we haven't seen in a year. We suggested this restaurant because we had such a delicious meal last year (we visit Boothbay Harbor twice a year). First of all we were there after a bus group (but they were almost done eating) so we kind of knew that we had a little wait. The waiter (Jay) kept on messing up. We told him who would be on the checks (one party of 2 and one party of 3 and we pointed out who they were) Even after he repeated which was which he still got the checks wrong. The wait between our appetizer and our dinner was long and the food was warm to cool. My potato was so overcooked I only got 3 bites out of it and it looked like it had a tan inside. My Husband and I had stuffed haddock which was overcooked and very dry and the meal was not hot. The friends that we invited had decent meals but the waiter got the man's meal wrong (messed up the steaks with another friends surf/turf, he was to have prime rib) and the waiter never came back to check on us for a while. When we got the checks, he still got them wrong and had to get his attention to have him correct it. Our friends had to wait again because he didn't put the slip to sign for his credit card. We don't go out to eat much, but when we do, we expect to have a decent meal and service. This was the worst meal I have ever, ever had and as of today, would not go back. Very disappointing.

I am tremendously sorry for your experience last fall when you dined with us. We have an entirely new restaurant staff this season, and we would love a chance to show you the level of service and professionalism that we strive to offer our guests. Though I would understand if you don't, I truly hope that you will allow us a second chance should you be in the area again.

Breakfast was wonderful! The coffee was perfect and you can't get a better view from the restaurant.

We started the restaurant week by going to Fishermans for a haddock dish that was on their website as well as the local newspaper specially prepared for the week. It wasn't on their "restaurent week" menu. We then read on the web site that a different separate menu was specific to last weekend, and that what was published, will be back for the full week. Went back a few days later and NO, same ol, same ol menu. Apparently the chef ordered the wrong ingredients. These would be the ingredients needed by the chef, for the chefs menu. And the chef couldn't fix the error. Can you imagine. So we foolishly stayed anyway. My prime rib was ordered medium+ and it came rare. it went back, and it came again a little less rare. I took care of the waitress who was excellent. But the kitchen is in trouble at Fishermans Wharf.

A very disappointing 3 day stay. The bar/nightclub next door was very loud until 1am each night.
We had poor service in the restaurant. The breakfast bar warming bins were empty. When asked if they were bringing out more we were told that it would be check into. We saw 10 others looking for the same breakfast. We heard something about a head count of how many were served so i think they were reaching their quota based on their guests. A tray of French toast was brought out and that's it. Our waitress was more interested in picking up a tip from the tables than anything else. We made sure our tip was given to the bus boy who was doing the work. Our dinner was spoiled by asking during the day if they would have the lobster special that night. we were assured they would have plenty. We had several drinks at the bar and when seated it was at least 15 minutes before we were asked if we were ready to order.... Really??? We did and were told the lobster special was sold out.... but they had the regular lobster dinner.... REALLY??? 3 for $20 vs 1 for 25!!!! Come on!!! The best part of our experience was the guys in the parking lot, Dylan the bartender and the complimentary boat excursion.
