My wife and I were in Boothbay Harbor in late April. Most places are not yet open for the season. My wife, on her walk, found that they were having a special on scallops. As both of us really enjoy the scallops in Maine, we went there for lunch that day. In addition to the scallops, they had many specials of the day. One was pea soup. We both like pea soup a lot. So, we each ordered pea soup, and told the waitperson we'd spit an order of Broiled Scallops. Except for the wonderful corn muffin which had a bit too much sugar, we absolutely loved everything. Our waitperson, Rose, was wonderfully helpful, and long suffering in our selecting process. Cannot recommend it too highly. And, it was (gasp) reasonably priced.
