“Was Hoping for Something Really Great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

We ate here the second week in September for an early dinner. The menu which was included in a flyer that we received at our inn sounded great. So we ordered the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Very small portion (5 small pieces?) and little to no sauce on the tenders. Not great. Ordered the fried scallops and again small portion of 5 scallops for between $20-$25. They weren't very good either. They charge $2 if you are going to split the dinner. How could you split 5 scallops and almost non-existent fries? It seemed to be late in the season and maybe they were just using up what they had on hand? There were only a few tables with people there which says something. Service was okay. If I go back to Boothbay Harbor, I will not go back to this restaurant.

“Super Breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

This is a owner owned and run restaurant. The food is great, the servers know their jobs and are willing to wait on you! They have been properly taught. Try the homemade sticky bun with breakfast.

“Delicious old skool seafood restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

Very busy, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Andrews serves excellent, well priced seafood. The scallops and haddock "Lester" style were great - garlicy, lemony breadcrumbs and butter over super fresh seafood. Pleasant service, especially the welcoming young man who's the bartender and host. We went back for drinks the next night and enjoyed sitting at the bar drinking a well made Dark and Stormy and watching the groups of happy families digging in. It's casual and reliable and worth a visit or three.

“Great breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

Went here on a recommendation from a local parking enforcement officer. It did not let down for breakfast - great eggs, bacon, etc.

However, the cinnamon role that they are famous for was just OK, nothing special in my book.

“Breakfast on the harbor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

Wow! What a great breakfast they serve at Andrew’s Harbor Side Restaurant - Now commercial fishermen working on Maine’s most beautiful harbor (Boothbay Harbor) typically eat a hearty breakfast cause they often work right through lunch – many of my family are commercial fishermen, but that’s another story…. anyway chef Craig puts on the hearty breakfast that that will give you staying power. The Blueberry Pancakes are fantastic as, big as the plate they’re severed on, I challenge any landlubber to eat one without saying: “I’m so full” The Hearty Hash, lives up to its name, with local potatoes, thinly sliced and dices roast beef. The Cinnamon Rolls are delicious and enough to server two, if you want to share (I didn’t). The price was great, 3 meals for under $30, combined with a great serving staff. We’ll be back for more.
