Description: Locally caught lobster is our specialty. Several hundred pounds are stored in our sea water tank. You may select your own from the tank and watch as they are prepared for cooking in our large outdoor pots. We have all sizes of the tasty shellfish, from one to four pounds. To those new to lobster, we will gladly assist on how to best eat them and explain the differences between hard and soft shell. The Outdoor Patio at The Lobster Dock The flavor of Maine is further captured in our other offerings. Stews and chowders are prepared daily from only the freshest ingredients. The shrimp and scallops we use are caught in the waters of the Boothbay Region. Clams are also supplied by local diggers most every day. Our mussels are grown on a salt water farm in Tenants Harbor. Fish caught in the North Atlantic are supplied to us from Boothbay Fish Dealers. We accept only the freshest available. It is not unusual for us to refuse deliveries that do not meet our quality standards.

We lucked out, not having to wait in long line. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the baked scallops which were wonderful. They are large and it is a generous portion. I had a hard time finishing them, only because I wanted to save room for the dessert of the day. The Tollhouse Pie, yes I said pie, was very very good. Moist and rich...yum! Husband had the Lobster which was great and very reasonably priced. It was raining when we got there, otherwise we would have sat outside where a great view of the harbor waits. I like the self-service system here. I not only saves time, but also is easier when with a group, people can pay their own without the hassle of receiving one bill and dividing the bill up between everyone. No worry of fighting who pays what. I hate that. Anyway, it has a nice "Maine" feel to it as the way you would expect. Oh, and they do have other than seafood, menu items that others may order if they are not seafood fans. It's a popular place!

We went in to the Harbor for a good lobster dinner and initially stopped at another place near by but their prices were so high we left. We stopped at Lobster Dock and stayed. Prices were much more reasonable and the food was delicious. In our group 2 people didn't usually eat muscles, however these were so good both liked them. We also had a non - lobster eating diner with us who enjoyed their cheeseburger. They had many options of both food and drink. Another bonus is they had both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the water so where ever you sat you had a great view. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. The one heads up you may need, would be that the line to place your order moved rather slow. They were pretty good about coming out to the line and offering menus for people to look at while waiting in line so that we could be prepared once we got up there but, if you were in a hurry, it was not going to happen.

We walked over slightly after 5 on a Saturday night. 20 people at most in front of us. 20 disorganized, indecisive people. Please people, do not wait until it your turn to order to decide how many are in your party, or whether you want red of white wine. The only thing the Lobster Dock could do to speed up the process is open another window for ordering, since they do make an attempt to pass out menus to the crowd.
When we eventually got to order, service was quick and friendly, and our food came out promptly. We had the fried artichokes, 2 types of lobster roll, and the twin steamed lobster. All 3 of us were very happy with our meals, and the view, and the service, if they could just somehow speed up the ordering process.

I am visiting a friend in Maine and we went to The Lobster Dock for my first dinner. We ordered the lobster dinner and sat on the deck admiring the harbor and sunset views. Before we knew it our dinners arrived, hot and lots of melted butter. We loved it so much we are returning tonight for steamers, mussels, and crab cakes I know we will not be disappointed.
