Great location opposite the main tourist area with easy access via a footbridge that crosses the harbor. Good but tight parking area. Rooms with view have balcony and a great view of the harbor. Restaurant was closed while we were there but also has a nice view. They now serve a hot breakfast: scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes, sausage. Rooms are comfortable and medium sized and fairly comfortable chairs and beds.

Room Tip: Worth getting room with view. We were able to negotiate the rate down when booking over the phone.

Friendly service, comfortable beds except for large lumpy pillows, clean, baseboard heat or wall mounted A/C -- my guess is the a/c unit is about 30 years old. Not extensively needed for the days we were there, but I appreciated the ability to run a fan for white-noise during the night, and I appreciated that the air flow was not directly over the beds. Soundproofing was about 90% effective -- fully effective with the fan. The front desk is maintained from about 8am - 8pm. After that a phone number is provide for staff staying at the motel. Hot water may take up to two minutes to arrive at the faucet, but was ample even during the morning when the heaviest use was most likely.

The main compound contains a restaurant with lots of potential. The lobster is especially good.

Room Tip: Possibly newer rooms are available in an unattached , nearby annex. I did not stay there, but its w...

My wife and I have been coming up to Boothbay a number of times and always enjoyed it. This was the earliest in the summer we ever came up (first week of June) and were disappointed to find a number of businesses not open yet for the season. The Boothbay Harbor Inn did not have their dining room open yet (well it did, just to bus groups) which was disappointing because I've always enjoyed the food. Also the normal piano player (Kevin) was not there either so that was sad, we've always enjoyed listening to him. The room was nice and the location is obviously great being so close to the footbridge, but was hoping to have dinner there and listen to Kevin, hopefully next time.

Having just returned from a 3 day stay at Boothbay Harbor Inn in Boothbay, Maine, wanted
to report how fabulous this Inn was and how courteous the Staff were, especially Paul at
front desk. View from our room was terrific and sunsets very nice. Only a short walk to
find the wooden bridge across the river which takes you right into the downtown area filled
with shops and cruise boat activities you can avail yourself of. Had no rain during our trip and would return without hesitation. Had a great 2nd floor room with two double beds, and other
amenities. Good selection of Restaurants right across the Bridge or down the road from
the INN. Enjoyed cruises and a visit to Botanical Gardens a few miles from the Inn.

We had a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel. The rooms were quite large, but the view from our 2nd floor room was prime. While weather was rainy, the staff were nice and helpful. Our family would go again without hesitation. A walk across the walkway and we had plenty of food options and shops to enjoy. Very laid back for the very edges of the summer season.

Our 2nd floor corner room with it's extra large deck, gave us a beautiful view of the harbor. The room, more than adequate, was equipped with a microwave, small refrig and Keurig coffee maker, 2 comfortable chairs and a king sized bed. The location of the inn is convenient, next to the foot bridge, a 5 minute walk to downtown.
The staff, including Cindy, Thane, Bianca, Paul and the housekeepers, were all very friendly and extremely helpful. Their suggestions for things to do and places to eat were right on the mark. Don't miss the Coastal Maine Botantical Gardens!
We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Room Tip: Second floor, corner room.
