You really can not beat the location of this hotel. With 100 feet of the footbridge that takes you across the harbor. Parking is great at this hotel. A lot of the area is very difficult to park in. As part of our package we received a harbor tour cruise(a $60 value), which was really great! Our room was on the second floor with a side view of the harbor. Very nice patio. Rooms are old but well kept. Housekeeping was very helpful.
Internet access in the lobby only. The front desk and breakfast area service is lacking, very distracted. Do not plan on the continental breakfast. We went down at 9am (breakfast ends at 9:30). Our only cereal choice was corn flakes, or plain oatmeal. The milk and orange juice were warm. There were also pastries.

The Boothbay Harbor Inn was the perfect place for viewing the windjammers and only a short walk across the footbridge to all of the activities and parade. The hospitality was just what one would expect in Boothbay Harbor. Dinner was enjoyable and food & service was excellent.
Would definately stay there next visit.

We were more than pleased with just about everything about our stay here. From the very start, when we were upgraded to a full harbor view room (at no extra cost!) to the coupon for a Harbor Cruise, to the discount coupon for the on site restaurant, we felt so welcome and warmly received!
Even when we were leaving we came reallllly close to trying to stay an additional night but we really were unable to. I know there will be a "next time" and I am sure we will stay longer!
Our only criticism, and it is fairly minor, is that the included breakfast is really pretty limited.

Room Tip: Full harbor view room on second floor was positively beautiful! Sitting out on the balcony was exact...

Large standard room ,king bed ,the room was clean but dated,it didn't have a wardrobe ,but it did have a hanging rail ,we would have liked proper tumblers in bathroom instead of paper cups .The disappointment was the buffet breakfast ,it wasn't the lack of selection but the plastic cutlery and paper plates ,The first morning there wasn't any plate to put a pastry on,and the second morning there wasn't any paper bowls to empty our cereal into .
We did enjoy happy hour while enjoying the lovely view .
The best thing about the hotel is the location

My wife and I stayed in a king suite with great bay view! This hotel could use the guy from Hotel Makeovers. Room decor very old style, undersheet did not stay on bed, wifi spotty in room and weak. What they call Continental Breafast is very poor and lmited. At least they could have hard boiled eggs, some cheese and sauage to make it more appealing.

My wife and I have been coming to Boothbay Harbor for 20 yrs and usually stay in one or two B&B's that we love, but wanted to give this property a try. If you pay the normal high season rate, there are better options at some of the B&B's in Boothbay.

Room Tip: If you are conming to Boothbay, you want to have a water view room.

We have been staying at the Boothbay Harbor Inn for five years and have never been disappointed. Everything is clean, everyone is hospitable, and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else while vacationing in Boothbay Harbor. You won't be disappointed....and the harbor views are unbeatable!

We stayed there in late September and had our wedding reception there, and I can't say enough good things. Bonnie was wonderful in answering my many questions in planning the reception. Check-in went smoothly, and quickly. I had a fantastic room, which was very clean (which is huge in my book) and the bed was comfortable enough. The day of the reception the person doing my flowers got into an accident and Bonnie and other staff stepped right up to help, contacting the local florist, who jumped in and all did a fabulous job. They did excellent decorating the dining room. The food at the reception, from the appetizers to the main course was wonderful (many of my guests commented how delicious the food was, and the fact that it was still hot - as many had experienced receptions at locations where the food was luke warm at best) and the staff were very attentive and spot on, never letting a glass get empty. All requests were met with a smile and can-do attitude. Everyone encountered at the Boothbay Harbor Inn were extremely pleasant, helpful, and just plain great to deal with. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a wedding reception on the water in the harbor. Nice rooms, great staff, great food. I am extremely happy that I chose to have my wedding reception there. Thank you everyone at the Boothbay Harbor Inn for making our reception memorable and perfect!
