And indeed she does. We saw whales, everybody saw whales. A nice boat, comfy seating inside and out. Food service, clean restrooms. Fast boat, seemed safe and modern. What else you want?

I was having a bad summer but took my mother, cousin and her husband whale watching. I wasn't supposed to be in the sun so I stayed inside. I would have preferred to be topside, but that wasn't their fault. We spotted several Minck whales but not much else. The tour guide was very personable and tried to keep everyone entertained. I'll definitely try it again.

A nice boat, a knowledgable naturalist, and octoberfest on tap; all we needed were a few whales! Maybe not the best time of year to see them, I'm not sure, but overall a nice day out on the water and some pretty sights. We did see some harbor seals and porpoises.

Hello Beachpebbles47, Thank you for joining us and taking the time to write a review. Sorry the whales were not feeding off shore during your trip. We try to make each trip an educational experience and a great ocean adventure for our guests, even when we do not see whales. We hope to see you on board with us in the future with your free passes! Cheers to the Sam Adam's Octoberfest!!

Chose this option as it had the best reviews and we had seen promotional leaflet in hotel. Easy to find and a bonus that car parking izs right by the boat. Not to busy in September so easy to get a seat on the top deck. We did see whales , but not as many as I would have liked as not as near to the boat as you are led to believe. We saw more water sprays blown by the whales than the whales them selves. However we did see some and our son thought it was awesome. One advantage is that this whale watching trip departs from Boothbay Harbour which is a wonderful location and we can't wait to visit again

Ok, let me say right up front that a Whale Watching Tour cannot control the beasties. They are either there or not. On the day we went out, there was some whale "sightings" but not the kind of experience we had in Alaska. Rather more like whale shadows. In fact we were laughing that we saw more whale action the year we rented a condo in Ocean City, MD. Other than having a corral with whales in the Atlantic, these folks cannot control if you see a whale or not. The day we went it was overcast, sliding rapidly into rain and driving winds. Once again, they cannot control the weather. But I think you need to know that you do not sail a few miles out into a bay and see whales. It is a trek to the grounds. The boat wallows around a lot. Now, we are sailors and we have spent a considerable amount of time in ferries all over the world, and I was a little surprised at the wallow on the Pink Lady. Hard to take pictures, even if you see whales. The woman doing the narration cannot be understood over the PA system, so it doesn't add a lot. On the tour we were on, there was a very young baby -- about 3 weeks old -- and many of us thought she and the mother were going to go over the side or fall down the ladder. (Who in their right mind would take a kid that young on a whale tour in the Atlantic???!!!)
So, if you want to take a chance, go for it. It was not a good day for us, but sometimes you get lucky. If you are prone to motion sickness, you might want to re-think this.
