We passed some less than deserable homes and there accupants on the way into town. Then upon arrival found contractors asking for rooms. The lobby was pleasant enough and the receptionist was polite. The decking outside the room could have used some attention. After checking in I found no dead bolt, or chain lock on the doors, and no locks on the windows that opened onto the shared deck. I did not feel comfortable in this room at all. I had to go and ask for clean pillow cases as there were boogers on the ones on the bed. I dont believe the sheets were changed. A bedding inspection showed no evidance of bugs or other remnants from past guests. Otherwise the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom appeared clean until i went to shower, there was a ring around the bottom of the tub and dark soap scum on the back wall. My guess is that this hotel is popular with contractors, and the house keeping staff does not scrub after them. The silver lining was the breakfast room, bright cheerful, clean, a nice selection. and a most pleasant and helpful attendant. The morning clerk did apologize for the condition and gave a discount, with mention that the head of housekeeping would be informed. Unless they remedy the lock issue i do not reccomend this hotel for woman travelors.

The town of Boothbay Harbor is a beautiful area, unfortunately, we cannot control the condition of the homes on the way into town. All of our doors have dead bolts on them. It is possible that your do not disturb sign was covering it on the back of the door. We do not want anyone to feel unsafe at our hotel. Had you called the front desk, we would have been glad to help you lock the windows and your door.

We had a enjoyable stay at the Flagship Inn and can recommend it for those who don't need to be in downtown Boothbay and prefer a less expensive option. We had no problem parking in town so it was convenient for us. The hotel was clean and well kept with comfortable accommodations. Our stay was one night so we didn't use any of the other features. The breakfast offered a good selection and we were all happy with this choice. Very nice staff, too.

Have stayed here before and staff is always a pleasure. Rooms are clean and comfortable but do not expect overly fancy. Very comfortable and pet friendly. However if you are not a dog person barking can sometimes be a problem. The continental breakfast is really one of the best we have ever found.

I chose this motel because I was traveling with my cocker spaniel and wanted a convenient location near Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Rates go down after Labor Day, so it was especially attractive. Very nice, friendly people. Room was comfortable and very clean.

Room Tip: Pet-friendly rooms are on the ground floor--very helpful for dog-walking. Special gifts awaited us...

Typical 2-star AAA hotel, at least as far as rooms go, but it's hard to beat the price in the tourist area. Several extras raise it above average: Free continental breakfast that is quite good, with lots of choice; a nice outdoor pool; helpful people at the desk. On the downside, it is almost a mile to the center of town, so you either have a healthy walk (with a decent-size hill) or drive and hunt (or pay) for parking. Also, room was a bit dark. Still, I'd go back.

Flagship Inn is an amazing place to stay. Everyone that works there is so friendly and very accommodating. When you start visiting with the staff, it's almost like talking with friends / family members ...they take the time to make you feel so very welcomed ! We have a dog that we bring and there is nothing but encouraging words about him coming with us. Flagship is close to stores and all services. The pool is warm and clean and the hot tub is WONDERFUL! We have absolutely NO complaints. The cost is very affordable. I encourage everyone going to Boothbay Harbor to check in ........and if you still aren't sure....stop in to say hi and see for yourself....It is an amazing place to stay!

We found this inn because we couldn't find a dog sitter. I know it sounds crazy! My boyfriend searched for pet friendly hotels and we found The Flagship Inn! Not only could we bring our dogs but it was also one of the most affordable places in the area. We were on a tight budget but in need of a weekend away. We brought a camping grill and a cooler full of food to help reduce some spending. We were pleasantly surprised to have a fridge in our room as well as charcoal grills and picnic tables outside! It was clean and comfy! There is also a grocery store and pharmacy on either side should you need anything. It was close enough to the harbor that once we parked the car we did not use it till we packed up to leave. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Also there is a nice continental breakfast every morning!
