it started out a bit challenging to find. GPS said it was on the opposite side of street and has two different house nos. House numbers are hard to see as they are on trees and not illuminated. After making calls, we finally located it and parking is also a bit challenging, One car can fit and you must parallel park along street. Just enough room not to get hit by another car.
Upon entering we noticed 2 garbage bags full of linens and the queen bed had no sheets, unmade, and no towels. I called Turnkey and they said they would send somebody out right away as there was an emergency - said to go ahead and have lunch on them and they would have it completed in a timely manner. After 2 hours we came back and nothing was done. Called again. This was Sunday evening now. They had to get approval and again I had to wait. I was planning on finding another place to sleep. Finally later that evening, someone came and brought the linens. After that fiasco, things got better. I made these reservations back in Feb.
The cabin is very cute, rustic and perfect for our trip. It is well equipped mostly. TV is a bit small, but wi fi worked well. Kitchen is adorable and functional with just enough utensils needed for anyone. Beds are comfortable, the down comforters helped when it was a bit chilly at night. The living area is quaint with the authentic fireplace, and the comfortable seating. Loved the skylights and location to Booth Bay Harbor. Truly unique and beautiful setting. Walked along the quiet and wooded streets down to the water. Although we did not take advantage of the beach are, it was a wonderful walk. We had a great time taking time to view the lighthouses in the area, really great dinner at Brown Warf Inn... lots of foot! Then we went to the infamous Clam bake at Cabbage Island. It was nice to have a bit of a tour from the Captain regarding the area history of the various island and light houses. If you were lucky, you may even see a seal, or dolphin swimming. We had a lovely time overall. Forgot to mention also that the water lines are above ground and come from the street. We noticed a leak (its where one would park). We let Turnkey know. They came out and put tape on it. Said they would fix it. I guess that is their fix?? Anyway beware when you park... we did not park on that area, but a sign should be put up. They have a few quirks in their management but our experience overall was good.
