“Small, but really fun.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2012

This aquarium is very small (one large room), but tickets are only $5 for an adult. The best touch tank I have ever seen. It includes lobsters, horseshoe crab, sea cucumber, scallops, hermit crabs, sea urchins. A second tank housed rays and small sharks. We had a really good time. The volunteers were knowledgable and helpful.

“Great 2 hour diversion - for kids”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2012

You want to go to the Aquarium if you have kids. There are LOTS of cool creatures in multiple tanks, and activities for the kids if you plan in advance. It tends to be crowded, but it is geared towards kids and if you've been toting your children around from shop to shop or dock to dock, they deserve some kid-friendly activities, too. Pretty inexpensive, and there is one of the best views of Boothbay Harbor to be had on the front lawn (perfect for a picnic!!)

“All about Maine sea creatures”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 28, 2012

Lots of interesting creatures to see and touch! Knowledgable staff explaining all the facts of Maine sea life. Grand kids had face painting and buoy painting projects. The staff members discussed tide pool life and lobsters. Bring your lunch and sit out at one of the many picnic tables and enjoy the fabulous view of Boothbay Harbor!
