We were pleased with the services they provided, very friendly and nice staff. The rooms were recently renovated and clean. No restaurant, yet fresh fruit, coffee and muffins in the morning were just what we wanted before heading downtown. Kids liked heated pool and space where they could play. The veiw from our balcony was picturesque and peaceful.

We had a wonderful stay at Beach Cove Hotel. The owners were super nice and extremely informative about things to do in the area, they offered reccomendations and had great advice. I loved how everything was nearby, this made it very easy for us to fit in lots of activities without the hastle of driving around. We had a spectacular view overlooking the lake from our balcony. It was such a pleasure taking our family photos in this beatiful landscape, every shot was picture perfect. Our hotel room was very spacious and neat, there was always freshly brewed coffee down in the lobby as well as fruit and baked goods. Basically if you want the most value for your money then Beach Cove Hotel is where you will find it.

We stayed in 2 rooms for 4 nights; they were clean and recently updated. Although the rooms were quite small (and especially the shower), it felt nice to know that they were very clean. The bath towels are extremely small and could be bigger - especially for someone who is not a tiny person. Had we known, we would have brought our own towels. The front desk staff were amazing and very attentive. The lake was absolutely gorgeous for both swimming and boating. The view from the room balconies were very serene and relaxing. The pool, although also on the smaller side was very enjoyable. Pets are allowed at this hotel, but we never heard any barking or had any problems. The prices were very reasonable; we were there over the 4th of July weekend.

The Beach Cove Hotel is a tranquil place with spectacular views of the lake. The staff is extremely hospitable and helpful. The rooms are renovated and very clean. The hotel is in five minutes drive from downtown with its restaurants and shopping. I am planning to come again next year with my family. Kids would definitely enjoy swimming in the lake or pool, canoeing, making fire or just running around on spacious grounds.

My wife and I stayed at Beach Cover this past Columbus Day weekend. We stayed in room #23 which was a deluxe balcony room. As with the other reviews, I can't say enough about the views and the value for your money (Columbus weekend in Boothbay for ~$100 night!). The view from our room was outstanding, the grounds are very well kept and the entire property was recently renovated.

Our room was quite large, very clean and contained a soft, comfortable king bed as well as a futon. The balcony is quite large and easily accommodated 6 people in comfort. The room contained a working fridge (a large one at that), microwave and coffee maker. The bathroom is also quite large, but fairly spartan (not that it's a bad thing), containing just a small sink, toilet and shower/tub (there was another vanity just outside the bathroom). One thing I found odd about the room was the lack of plugs around the vanity or in the bathroom itself. The hotel provides a plug-in hair dryer, but you have to go into the room itself to actually use it because of the lack of plugs.

The owners were extremely friendly and the lady who ran the office during our stay went out of her way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. When I mentioned I was very low on fuel after arriving the first day, she told me where all the gas stations were and even offered a small can of gas if we needed to get to a gas station and couldn't make it. We had an infant with us and she asked us if we needed a portable crib (we didn't) and when I went looking for a corkscrew, she found one for us and brought it up to our room.

The hotel itself is a little off the beaten path, but it's only about a 3 minute drive to the center of town. While other hotels and B&B's in the area were charging a LOT of $$$ for Columbus Day weekend, our total bill came to a little over $300 for three nights. There is no restaurant at the hotel, but free coffee is available in the office and fresh-baked bakery goods and fresh fruit appear in the mornings in the office as well.

There is an outdoor pool on the grounds (we obviously didn't use it) and this hotel allows pets (if you have a dog, this place is perfect as the grounds are very expansive and there's a lot of room to run around outside). There is a private dock and you can take a canoe out whenever you want (life vests are provided in a large number of sizes). I'm not sure if there is an elevator or not (I didn't see one), so keep this in mind if you are disabled; you will need a room on the ground floor (there are two floors and the second floor is accessible by external stairs).

I would definitely stay here again.

The only bad thing about our stay at the Beach Cove is that we had only one night. The owner gave us 'the best room in the house' Room 14 and we're glad we arrived with enough daylight to enjoy a GREAT view of the cove and a small, tree-covered island right off the balcony. The room was modest, but very clean and the hotel was quiet. The hotel is outside the town itself, you must drive a short distane to restaurants, etc. This is a family-owned small hotel and the morning coffee and muffins were homemade. Excellent value for $91, tax included.

We have stayed in this hotel two years in a row. We went back to Boothbay Harbor to stay at the Beach Cove. We love the quiet, relaxing location, sitting on the balcony, overlooking the lake, sipping our morning coffee or having our afternoon cocktails. We stayed in a deluxe balcony room during both visits. It's very spacious and nicely decorated. They have newly renovated rooms. The owners are delightful and accommodating. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone looking for a romatic get away and even a family vacation. There are row boats and canoes that can be used and a nice heated pool. The drive into town is short. On the way north to Boothbay Harbor we stopped off at Reid State Park. It's worth the stop. This year we went a bit north to Damariscotta and out to Pemaduid for a day trip. It took about 30 minutes and was well worth visit. We look forward to our next stay.
