The Inn is located approximately 2 miles from downtown. It's an older motel but refurbished with great view of the lake. The rooms are small without a lot of amenities, ie couch and side chairs, but clean and adequate. The staff is very nice and the building and grounds are well kept. The pool is small but the lake is only a100 yards plus from the rooms with free use of canoes and rowboats.

The price is good and a bargain compared to some of the hotels right on the water. GPS took is through the back wood and I was apprehensive until we arrived. At check in, we learned that we were really close to downtown which alleviated the anxiety.

It's a quiet surrounding and a great relaxer. I would stay there again. Hope this helps.

Excellent place to stay with friendly staff. The room was super clean and comfortable. Great views from our deck. Pool area was kept very clean with lots of chairs around the salt water pool. Chances to go out in canoes and to fish as well. We were only 5 min from the town. We will most definitely stay there again.

We stayed here on July 1 and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room we had and the spic and span grounds. The setting is lovely with views of the lake. We even had our own private balcony. A comfortable, quiet night's sleep with excellent coffee, cranberry muffins and poppy seed cake in the morning. Wish we had stayed longer.

Room Tip: Don't think you can go wrong with any of the rooms. We were on the upper level so you would not hear anyone walking above you, but it is possible you wouldn't anyway.

Everything looked exactly as the website pictures. We loved the peace and quiet and being only 1 mile from the harbor. We took a row boat out a couple of times and even caught a large mouth bass. It was nice to have coffee and tea available all day and the muffins and fruit in the mornings were a nice treat. We ate our breakfast on the balcony each morning. The pool was quiet and very clean and a perfect temperature. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again and in fact will bring family members with us.

This family-run hotel didn't look like anything fancy from the website, but the online reviews and the great room rates made it the best option for me, my husband and our 2 girls, aged 11 and 13. Larissa gave us a great room in the small new wing, and we had plenty of space for our 2 nights. The room was very clean, with a large, spotless bathroom and a nice private balcony with our own staircase down to the water and pool. We were a 20 second walk from the office, which was nice when making runs for breakfast. Breakfast was set up in the office area...nothing crazy, but between the coffee/tea/juice, fruits and freshly-baked muffins/breads/danishes, it was plenty to satisfy us before heading out to explore the area. We were only a couple of minutes from town and parking a couple of blocks from the waterfront wasn't a problem either day for us. Some local spots we'd recommend visiting include Downeast Ice Cream, Hardy Boat Puffin Tour, Dolphin Mini Golf and Tracy's Maine Menu. The hotel staff was very friendly from the time I called to make our reservation through check-out. We would absolutely return to Beach Cove for future visits to Maine!

Room Tip: All rooms on the back side of the hotel are above ground level, whether you're on the first or second floor. Larissa gave us room #37 in the small new addition, which was great because it had it's own private staircase from the balcony down to the water or a few steps from the pool. Since it was at the end of the corridor it was very quiet - great for light sleepers.
