“What a Great Find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

Being a lover of diners, I was excited to find out about "the oldest diner in Maine". Everything is made from scratch with an emphasis on local products. The portions are huge, and the coffee is delicious. Try the Irish Benedict or the Ragin' Cajun; the hollandaise sauce, though not quite authentic, is terrific. The Monte Cristo with real maple syrup is also really good. The service is super friendly and efficient. In the Spring, they will reintroduce lunch, and they have periodic Dinner Specials with limited seating (get on their email list).

“I love the Palace Diner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2012

The Palace Diner is one of the highlights of Biddeford but you've got to do it right. They're closed on Sundays, they only do breakfast and lunch, and the diner fills up quickly. Once you know that, go anyway and enjoy a piece of history with modern touches. By all means, get the corned beef hash or whatever the special is. Assuming that you can find a seat (it's not big inside), you can't go wrong at the Palace Diner.

“Fine Diner-ing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

What a find! Maine's oldest diner (1926). Only about a dozen stools but well worth getting one. Boasts many scratch-made items fom huge blueberry muffins to one of the best hollandaise ever. Current owners had industrial cleaners in for two weeks prior their opening. Stainless gleams. Cash only.

“Classic diner, delicious food, great owner.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2012

My wife and I stumbled across Palace Diner while traveling in Maine - it's now on our "must come back" list the next time we're nearby. The food is excellent and fresh, vegetarian friendly, and the owner is very outgoing and interested in his customers. Absolutely recommended!

“Don't miss this restaurant, it's great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 7, 2012

We visited based on prior TA reviews and it exceeded all our expectations. The owners are friendly, offer suggestions, and the service is great. We had the corned beef hash and real buttermilk pancakes that are light and fluffy like they're supposed to be. My only regret is that we visited on the last day of our trip, wished we'd stopped sooner. Hours are either 6:00 or 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, not open Sundays, cash only.
