An enjoyable trip in every way. Two adults, four kids and no problems! The staff was wonderful and helpful. Everything that we asked for was quickly done for us. The kids had a blast playing outside and in the fitness center. Unfortunately the pool was closed but they did give us warning letting us know so we could prepare the kids beforehand. The Ladies at the front desk were so helpful in every way, whether it was helping us find things to do or sending faxes, they were there to totally accommodate our every need.

Thank you for your kind words… I will personally pass them along to our staff. We apologize about the pool closing but are confident that you and your family will appreciate the improvements in resurfacing, re-tiling, and other upgrades once the work is completed. April is our “in between” season in the Bethel area and we are so glad you decided to visit during this quiet time, even though the pool was closed.

The bethel inn is a beautiful inn with lots of charm. The staff is friendly and the two bedroom condo we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for our week long stay. My only complaint is that the pool was closed. This left us with unhappy kids. Sadly being early spring, the grounds were muddy and wet so we couldn't ski or hike. The large mountain only had advanced trails open so that was not an option. The ice was melted so we couldn't ice skate. We planned this trip thinking the pool would entertain the kids. We did still have a relaxing vacation. The views were amazing. If you visit the area check out Sunday River Gems. The kids loved picking out gems and stones and the prices were very inexpensive.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review and for your compliments on your condo accommodations. We sincerely apologize that you were not forewarned about the scheduled pool closing for extensive renovations. As you can see from an adjacent other review, our policy was to notify guests prior to their booking but we must have missed in your case. Also, you may be interested to know that an extensive museum for gems, located in the heart of Bethel, is in the process of completion and should be open during your next visit. When you return, please contact me personally… I would appreciate the opportunity to apologize and welcome you back to The Inn.

We had a very nice stay at the Bethel Inn the 2nd week in March. We stayed mid-week for 4 nights on their breakfast/dinner included package. The lobby and dinning areas are very nice. The food was scrumptious and loads of it.We were skiing so I brought a cooler to keep things from freezing and we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Everyone who worked there was VERY friendly and helpful. The gal at the front desk went to housekeeping for me a few times and always had a smile and never seemed putout. The hostesses and waitstaff were friendly and remembered us every time we went in. The gym equipment was updated and in a nice spacious clean room. The sauna was very nice
Now for the reasons I couldn't give it an excellent rating. The pool is rather sad looking and needs some work. The locker room is outdated and small. The rooms could use some new furniture and some color. We were in the main part of the Inn and its looking a bit tired. Every thing is clean but worn down.-
But we would go back in fact we were just talking about that for next ski season.
We also got a couples massage - fantastic!!!

Room Tip: Mid week ask for an upgrade

Thank you for your kind words about dining and our staff…. I will personally pass your compliments along to them. Very recently, we shut down our outdoor, year-round pool for refurbishing. When it reopens in a few weeks, it will have redone tiles and be completely re-surfaced. We are also planning some upgrades for our public areas and will have completed face-lifts on almost all of our traditional inn rooms. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

My friends and I rented a 3 bedroom condo for the New England Nordic Ski Assoc. event for women. We stayed for 2 nights at this 3 bedroom condo on the grounds of the Bethel Inn Resort.
The accomodations were adequate, though the decore was a bit outdated. The kitchen was adequate and the condo itself was comfortable. We were able to ski right outside our door, and the conditions were perfect!
THe Inn itself was beautiful and the touring center was awesome.

Room Tip: Check to see if the condo has been updated or not.

Thank you for your kind comments. It has been a wonderful winter for both cross country skiing on our trails and downhill skiing at our two nearby alpine areas, Sunday River and Mt. Abram. Please say “hello” next time you visit.

Just stayed one night here, but this is a wonderful place. Since it was mid week we were upgraded to a full one bedroom suite unit at no additional cost. The living room had a balcony and gas fireplace. Got a package deal that included breakfast and a lift ticket at Sunday River. The breakfast was a buffet that included many things and we also ate at the restaurant downstairs which was good as well.

Stayed here multiple times over the past four years, and the overall experience is consistent -- which I like to see in a property.

The Millpoint (sp) Townhomes are ski-in and out for the Nordic shop, as it is for snowshoeing too.

Excellent cross-country skiing center with reasonable rates, helpful staff, quality equipment rentals, and well groomed trails. Arguably the best in the area. Did alpine and Nordic skiing, and snowshoed too.

Free shuttle bus to Sunday River and key watering holes makes for a safe and convenient stay, especially for apres ski.

The main building is where breakfast is held. Very quaint comfortable rooms in a classic New England inn. The gas in-room fireplace heats each room, regardless of size more than adequately, so you never care how cold it is outside at night. The outdoor 90F pool soothes sore muscles after a day on the slope (inside entrance).

The staff is always helpful, and tends to any concern in a can-do manner. Great location in the center of town.

Enjoyed my stay there.

N.B. Know that if you have food allergies or dietary restrictions beyond either gluten-free or dairy-free, then consider just enjoying their comprehensive delicious breakfast spread and eat lunch and dinner off-premises; several good options within walking distance and be certain to mind the early close on Friday/Saturday nights as Bethel is a small (ski) town.

Room Tip: The studio townhomes have a single door separating the adjoining unit, allowing for the neighbor'...

Staying here again this year, service is quite friendly, room is impeccable, and the bartender, Chris, downstairs in the quaint, New England bar is remarkable. Love staying here. Beer is cold and pub food is yummy. Happy hour prices make it a no-brainer. Highly recommend the relaxing atmosphere, once again.
