“Fabulous, romantic atmosphere.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

We were staying in bethel for our 10th anniversary and wanted a romantic dinner. Broadstreet delivered!!! Definitely make a reservation.

We were seated on the porch, white lights twinkling, candles glowing, nice music playing.

The service was FABULOUS even though every table was full and some people were waiting up to an hour for a table. Each course brought out with just the right timing. Not rushed at all.

Martinis were amazing. Stuffed mushrooms were fabulous. Side salad just perfect. Stuffed shrimp a bit too heavy on the stuffing which was a bit heavy on the seasoning and a bit soggy. Stuffed haddock was perfect. Light, flakey, stuffing crisp, proportionate and not overpowering. Canoli was to die for! Coffee the perfect ending.

Although one entree was just average, everything else was stupendous. Would go back in a second!!

“Good, but not great”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

This place has the potential to be great, but I can only say our dinner was "good". Nice atmosphere, though, and you won't be disappointed.

“Why did we wait so long”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

Watched them renovating; went for birthday Saturday; by far the best food in Bethel, Oxford County, anywhere in Maine outside of Portland or Bar Harbor. The beef carpaccio was a religious experience; and the tiramisu almost floated up off the plate. Nice wines by the glass. Ask for Vera.

“Nice - good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

We were lucky to have a section of the place to ourselves, as the porch was a bit noisy. The food was good. Service fell off some as the waiter got busier, but he was nice and we were feeling mellow.

The meatballs were not spiced as well as I expected, given an Italian restaurant. The quality was fine and I would probably give the place another try if in Bethel.

“Fabulous meal and Martinis!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

This is our favorite restaurant in Bethel. The martinis are unique and capture the flavors of maine. The appetizers and huge and vary in their flavors and all are delicious. The entrees are served with fresh fish caught daily and local foods. We have been there quite a few times- every time we go to Bethel we look forward to our meals at 22 broad. The ambiance of the old home is quite cozy and inviting. I love eating by the fireplace int he wintertime.
