We made a loop out of Bethel that took us through Grafton Notch. The whole drive was beautiful, but the state park was probably the densest area of beauty if one were in a time crunch.
We walked out to Moose Cave. It's good for a short hike in the woods.
And walked out to Screw Auger Falls. It's a very short hike, and a very pretty little water fall. It is a pretty popular site judging by the parking lot and number of visitors.
Both are easy walks, but just the drive through this area, and the surrounding mountain side is worth seeing.
