Wow! Fantastic breakfast at this little diner - don't be fooled by the blah outside!
We just happened to stop at this little diner for breakfast. Great pancakes, homemade breads, fantastic service. Wish I could stop by here once per week!

Breakfast was outstanding. All that was missing was "Luke" in an apron. The prices were great too. Precious hometown charm.

I wish we were able to actually try and review the food, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Upon entering the diner, it was so packed that we thought 'this must be a great place'! After a short wait we had a seat at the counter in front of the cook (the only cook there). The server approached us quickly, and while cleaning the counter, she started talking about how the entire morning was spend asking guests to get out of her way because it was so busy and was glad it finally slowed down. We were empathetic and let it slide when she forgot our orange juice and water order. We understood it would be a while before we got our food, and used another couple as a 'benchmark' as when to expect our meals. Our theory was proven incorrect. We kept thinking it would take a little longer than expected, but when we saw the other couple scanning the room, we sat tight. When they got their food after approximately 50 minutes, I looked at my girlfriend with high hopes that we would be next (because how long does it really take to make fried eggs and toast). Suddenly we noticed that the party of six behind us were clearing their plates, and the other couple was ready for their check. Up until this point we weren't angry, we were actually enjoying the cook juggling so many orders, but when we made eye contact with the other couple who looked at us shocked we weren't eating yet, our mood quickly changed. At this point it was noon, and there were many empty seats and no one seemed to notice we were still waiting (incl. the cook that had seen us for all this time and was planning on making the staff lunches). We decided to pay for our coffees and  leave this place. The server finally noticed her mistake and didn't charge us for our beverages. While we appreciated the hard work of the staff all morning, this is unacceptable and we will never return.
