The day was beautiful, and we enjoyed seeing inside and outside of this lovely bridge. We have great pictures to take us back!

“Really neat Bridge.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

We are on a New England road trip, Maine, NH, and Vermont. This is our first view of a covered bridge on this trip, hope to see more as we go. A really neat and popular place. Lots of photo takers, and there was a wedding on the bridge earlier in the day. Nice easy trail below the bridge for pictures also.

“The Artists' Bridge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2012

This bridge is called "the artist's bridge" because it is so often painted & photographed.
Very pretty covered bridge. Built in 1872. Natural, not painted. No driving on bridge. Easy to find, signs off Sunday River Rd. Small parking area. There is an old white schoolhouse just down the road: Lower Sunday River School.

“A tranquil place to visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

This is a common stop but worth it. We took our two boys here and they wondered at the bridge and had all kinds of questions. They climbed down to the water and enjoyed themselves -- looking for fish. Worth taking a picnic basket in the later afternoon/early evening.

It looks newer than it says it is, we have visited other covered bridges and I just thought it would look older.
