My family of 6 stayed in this beautiful, fully appointed retreat-like home in August 2016 (my husband, myself, our two young children, and my parents). If you are looking for a simple, quiet vacation home on the beautiful coast of Maine, this is it. North of Acadia, by about an hour, this was just what we were looking for, as we didn't want to get caught up in tourist attractions of the coast. The owner has updated this home with every accommodation, and if you have anyone with special needs, those can be accommodated, as well., with a handicap accessible bathroom and entrance ramp. The home is spacious and well kept. Watching the tide roll in and out, with the tranquil sounds of this lovely fishing village as a backdrop, was an unparalleled experience, and we are planning on returning. We could not recommend this more highly. Enjoy!
The House was right on the water, the ocean views, ocean air, ocean sounds, all worked their magic on removing the stresses of daily life. The owners are down to earth good people who could not be more helpful or nicer. It is a good place to just chill and steam up some lobsters from the local fisherman, or as a good base station to make day trips along the coast of Maine, and even into Canada.
Everything was top notch from the comfortable furniture to the quality of even the cook ware. If we tried to look for something to complain about, it would have to be the 2 weeks went too fast!
