“Nice stop in Bath”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

The Hampton Inn is situated between a park and the water -- great views either way. The hotel is new and this shows in the accomadations. Nice breakfast, decent basic gym. Great location, a short walk from downtown. I would definately stay here again.

Loved this hotel. Great location within walking distance to lovely town of Bath and small riverfront park. All the features you love about the Hampton Inn chain. People are super friendly. Very hard to find, though. Once you come off Route 1, pay close attention. You feel like you're driving to an abandoned waterfront site, but just keep going.

Hampton Inn Bath Brunswick is a great hotel which was located right off Rt.1 on Commercial St. and is an excellent location for day trips to Rockport, Freeport, and a visit to Popham Beach! Having the Topsham fair on during our stay was a plus! New clean rooms look great and a clean smell to the rooms. Pool and spa open until 10 p.m. to unwind. Good breakfast and a Hampton on the run bag for a quick to go snack. Coffee pot always on. Will visit again!

First off, I urge anyone looking to stay in Bath to go here. The staff is very nice, the hotel is
located within an easy walk of town and the facility is clean and new. We stayed two nights -
the second night they totally forgot to make up the room - that had never happened to us at a
Hampton before. However, we went out for dinner and when we came back there was a hand
written note of apology and a $15 gift card to Starbucks. I call that very classy - real nice !!
The second mess up was upon check in. We are Diamond members and no one offered us
a free bottle of water or candy - as we were entitled to. We had to ask hours later - certainly not
the end of the world but I just can't give that fifth star. Would we stay here again? Of course,
in a heartbeat.

Wanted a hotel that was close to the center of Bath. The Hapton Inn was recommended, and it has surpassed my expectations. Like most Hampton Inns the hotel is clean and has a nice sized room. I am particulary impressed with the location, being close to the center of town, but down by the Kennebec River. It is within walking distance of "downtown" and the historic district. It has lovely views of the Kennebec River.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They took time to anwer any questions thoroughly and had good suggestions.

The Bath trolley stops about every 30 minutes at the hotel in morning nd will take you to the Maine Maritime Museum, Bath Iron Works, through the Historic District. The driver was very knowledgeble of the City and helped with recommnedations on restaurants and places to visit.

There is also a good restaurant across the street, The Kennebec Tavern. The meals are very good. The service is excellent. Prices for lunch are very good, and fair for dinner. There is also a nice place about a block and a half from the hotel, Betty's, that serves good food at a very good price.

In short, I found the hotel outstanding, access to sights easy, good food within an easy walk, and you can park your car and take the trolley.

Wonderful location in downtown Bath - everything except the Maritime Museum within walking distance. Free Swing Band (and they are GOOD) concerts in the summer just across the street at the amazing library complex. Guys just HAVE to shop and Reny's while the ladies dabble in the other shops - especially "Made in Maine." It is quiet, right on the beautiful Kennebuck River, with the impressive Sagadoc Bridge and Bath Iron Works cranes visible. The Tavern on the river is just across from the parking lot. The restaurants are first class with many to choose from. LOTS to do here - and you don't need to drive. A great Maine-Made Ice Cream and Gelato shop is only 2 blocks away and open until 9-10!!

For a family gathering we were all directed to this HOtel by a cousin who lives in the area. She was right that it could handle our group for the breakfast and that the staff was very helpful in making sure we could stay organized and get to the lcal attractions. The facility is close to the waterfront and to downtown. No complaints and the rooms are fine
