“Authentic Irish Pub-great specials-go here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2010

I love the feel of this pub. I've been to Ireland-and this place feels Irish. The food is delicious...a nice mix of Irish dishes, local favorites, and American cuisine. The soups are really good. I like the pub decor as well. The staff is very friendly. Best place to hang out and eat in Bath!

“7/09 - Great Pub Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2009

As we had been traveling most of the day from Texas, my wife and I made it to Byrnes' starving on Saturday night. The musician was quite pleasant singing Irish songs and a cold Guinness just hit the spot. Our waitress was friendly and prompted us to hurry and order before the kitchen closed (9:00pm). My wife had onion soup and I had the "Destroyer". This sandwich is a must have! - pastrami on rye topped with tomato, cheese, coleslaw, and dressing. (Very tasty and filling.) Although we ate at a few other restaurants during the week, Byrnes' is the only one that warranted a repeat performance. Larry & Kelly

“Worth the Trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2009

The service was excellent. The venue was noisy. Our party shared nachos, skins, and guacamole with blue cheese. All were very good. The chili, clam chowder, and "destroyer" (pastrami and cheese with tomatoes) were very good; the sausages in the bangers and mash were a bit grainy and the reuben was, at best, average. There is a wide assortment of beers, all resonably priced, as was the wine. The bread pudding had no "pudding"; i.e. custard. It tasted like chunks of French Toast with sweet syrup. Tasty, but not bread pudding. They do not take reservations, but the turnover was quick. Overall, a pleasant evening.

“Love it, Love it, Love it...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2009

I travel to the Bath area frequently and found this place last summer. I always get the Caesar Salad with anchovies (I like the Parmesan chips instead of croutons) and the Jameson wings. The Shepard's Pie is very good, but I've also had some of their specials. The staff has always been very friendly and give good service, they read their customers well. And if you really like Irish music you'll hear plenty of it.
Also went for St. Patrick's Day and was very impressed with their set up and execution. Having been to many Irish pubs for St. Pats and always angered by the lack of staff, I was very happy here. They had plenty of staff on, drinks were delivered quickly and it's obvious alot of planning went into this night. Good job by both the staff and of course, the owner. Even if he is a yucky Jets fan. And by the way, beer prices are going up everywhere, along with food, gas and everything else. I think their beer prices are very reasonable.
