Went here with a large group for a drink late one night. The server was very accommodating and friendly. Despite having about 12-15 of us she got all of our orders correct and was very personable! Fun place, fun atmosphere and good times

We have stopped at Byrnes for lunch and breakfast frequently when we hit the Bath Farmers Market on Saturdays. I was skeptical at first, but my DC wanted to pop in. Our first visit we both had the special - garlic tomato soup and grilled cheese. Simple, right? Well the soup was amazing. It had tons of flavor with lots of tomato bits (getting hungry thinking about it!). And the grilled cheese was on excellent multigrain bread, hot, crusty and oozing lots of yummy cheese.

The next time, we both opted for breakfast. The corned beef hash is made right there, and was incredibly tasty with big hunks of corned beef. It was served with two eggs and a slice of Guiness bread. I have no idea what Guiness bread is (bread made with Guiness? They pretty much will put Guiness into anything you ask for, including Bloody Marys). Anyway the bread was excellent too.

The guacamole with Cashel blue cheese mixed in is also quite good. (Do the good things in avocados cancel out the bad things in blue cheese? Hope so . . . ). The sandwiches are overstuffed and good. The only disappointment was the white bean chicken chili, which was kinda bland.

There are all sorts of beers on tap, as well as Irish cider (served with ice - try it, it is really good). We had been primed to expect people to be rude or at least standoffish to people from "away" but everyone there was friendly. We had a great time with some of the regulars, rehashing the Sox season and anticipating the Patriots. This isn't your typical pub that serves food as an afterthought. It is a great place to have a really nice meal, along with beer and a pub atmosphere - no sacrificing quality for bar atmosphere - this place has plenty of both, and at reasonable prices.

great beer and atmosphere. My friend and I talked to Joe (the owner) for about an hour. He's a great conversationalist and is moving to the same area of Florida i'm heading to soon. Gave me is card, hope to talk to him again. I didn't eat there this time but i have taken my family there and everyone agrees the food is tremendous!

Great llittle pub with a great menu and drink! It all looked good but we ordered the Bangers and Mash with cabbage which was topped with some tasty gravy. We split a plate and it was plenty for the both of us. Enjoyed it very much.
They had a fellow singing Irish music which we also enjoyed. Unfortunately, the 70's hits were a little less appealing. Overall, it was a great find and we will be sure to visit next time we are in the area. Sláinte!
