overall, it is a very good hotel, the only thing i wish they would upgrade
is their wireless internet. It is very slow. They could easily upgrade and triple
the speed.

This could be our favorite hotel in Bangor for several reasons: a good staff, comfortable room, one of the best inclusive breakfasts, and our favorite pool, hot tub. However, a couple of negatives - first, it isgettting a little long in the tooth and frayed at the edges; but more importantly for us is the noise - both interstate traffic and airplane traffic can be heard, and other rooms doors can be heard frequently - we also had a noisy dog in the room next to ours. If not for the noise, we would rate this as our favorite, esp for value.

Stayed there during the Labour Day weekend with my Fiancé and was pleasantly surprised! Check-in was a breeze and we had booked through Priceline and they still let us decide which room we wanted and the location. The rooms are superbly clean and the housekeeping staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable by leaving notes everyday :) We would not stay there again because of the King Bed we slept on. It was very used and gave us both back aches from the first night which we still have...

The continental breakfast was good, you just really need to be there early our second morning we had to wait quite some time and had to bring it back to our room as there were not tables available and that was a 9 am. The pool is awesome but the only downside is that there is supposed to be and adults only hour from 10 to 11 pm but both night there were kids playing around in the pool until 11 pm.

We stayed here using Marriott points. Our overnight stay was after spending two weeks with family in Boston and Portland, OR. It was quiet as we had hoped. The room was a fair size and suited our purposes. The shower had plenty of hot water with very good pressure. The halls were well lighted. The staff was efficient and pleasant. The dowwnside was the morning breakfast room. It has two seating areas. The hotel appeared full and many guests returned to their room with their food. I think the room should be rearranged so those waiting to use the microwave are not holding up others. Wireless internet worked well and was free. The entire hotel appeared well kept. I would stay here even if I had to pay for it.

Nicer than the Days Inn a few doors down, but could be better. The noise from neighboring rooms made it difficult to sleep and there was some hidden mold in the bathroom. Otherwise, nice decor, average food and an ok place to lay your head for a night or two.

Stayed here recently while on a family vacation to Bangor and surrounding region. Room was decent but small and very dated with older furniture. We did have a 32 inch flat screen TV in our room. Beds were double and on the smaller side and the matresses are in need of replacement as they were very uncomfortable. Cot we requested was older as well and big and bulky but not too bad.

Pros of this hotel included the location (quick, easy access to I-95 for day trips throughout Maine and to shopping in Bangor Mall area (approx 5 - 10 mins away), located in a business area of restaurants (Ground Round, Subway, Tim Hortons), gas stations, cinema and a small family amusement park. The boys really enjoyed the pool, which was a decent size but was over chlorinated. My husband and I enjoyed use of the hot tub and sauna. Breakfast is included in room rate and has a decent array of items (make your own waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, microwave breakfast sandwiches, juice, coffee, etc.) We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel provides free high speed internet access.

Cons of this hotel were the location next to the airport (heard planes flying low all hours of the day/night). We made it a point to go to a local pharmacy and buy disposable ear plugs because of this. Interior walls are also thin and people can be heard in the hallways/other rooms at night. Breakfast area is on the small side and with only one waffle iron and toaster , there was usually a line up in the mornings. Rooms are small and furniture/mattresses desperately in need of an update. Carpets in hallways smell musty and need replacing.

All in all, this hotel did suit our needs as a place to sleep while on vacation with three boys (ages 14, 13 and 10). I would not pay the full regular advertised rate but we were very fortunate to receive an excellent corporate rate through husband's employer.

The staff at the reception was friendly and helpful, they have a list of restaurants and bars for the area with a little description of what is available. The room is ok but on the small side, there's no fridge in the room, the bathroom is clean and a good size. The pool is average, would need some updating but it does have a sauna. There's a guest laundry room which is convenient for longer vacations. The breakfast is not the best, the selection is poor, you can make your own waffles but the waffle iron doesn't cook them very well. The location is good, a dance club within walking distance, the bangor mall is about 5 minutes away, there's an Irving and Tim Horton very close by. There is wireless internet in the parking, parking is free but no shuttle is available.
