on our way towards Canada from our vacation. we arrived in Bangor, Maine around 4:30Pm the first we do,looked for (best western hotel) its so happened the best western its not been closer to the place we would want to be. what we did we grabbed what hotel closer to the airport..and thats ramada inn. when my husband went to the front desk and asked if they have available room the front desk was unfriendly with him. when my husband asked if they have a military discount they said we didnt give military discount. my gosh all over north america wherever my husband goes he always has a military discount in this hotel they didnt give any discount!.. and beside the room was not very clean the bathed tub was old and has a molds underneath the rubber mat. they had no ref, and microwave. and there is no breakfast compliments. i dont recommend this hotel with my friends. if we werent exhausted of our trip i bet the first thing we do was looking for another hotel its because were tired we settled what the first hotel we saw. and on the next day we woke up early in the morning and left. their front desk needs another training how to be hospitable.

Called for reservation and mentioned we'd be flying in to rent a motorcycle. They met us at the airport at midnight with a complimentary cab. The next day they trucked us all over town with complimentary transportation until we rented our bike. The room was fine, but the people were the greatest. So helpful in so many ways. The pool was excellent, also. Anyone who is flying into Bangor to rent a harley for riding into Canada would be hard pressed to find a better or More helpful group. We enjoyed our stay and were happy and rested as we rode toward Canada.

Stayed two nights ar the Ramada Inn in bangor Maine, and had a really nice stay. Found out Wednesday Night is ladies night in the pub, and it was a little noisey down the hall, but the TV drowned it out just fine. Comfortable beds, great shower, and the Pub after work for a snack and a beer was perfect. The WIFI is awesome. Pool was open and quite nice. Thanks!

Room Tip: Walking distance to several night spots and restaurants and one convienence store.

Our room wasn't ready until after 6:30 p.m. on the day of check-in. When we finally did check in, we stayed in the room for only 10 minutes. My husband check under the mattress for bedbugs like we do at all establishments, and when he went to lift the mattress, he found a box and 2 plastic bags containing used hyperdermic needles! Needless to say, we left immediately!

Wow!!! What a crummy place with horrible service. We made our reservations in June. When we went to check-in at 5pm tonight we were told no rooms were ready but they would save the first available room for us. At 7pm still no room. When we asked to speak to the manager, we were lied to by the front desk attendant and told she was not working this evening. However, she miraculously appeared when my husband got corporate on the phone.

Dirty stained floors, mildew in the bathroom. A real dump.

Room Tip: Don't expect them to honor your reservation.
