We were looking for a cheap place to stay on our way to NYC and stayed here as they allow dogs. Although the room was clean and the beds comfy, the smell in the room was terrible!! It smelled musty and dirty, I had to keep the window open the whole time and turn off the air conditioning/fan. I think some of the smell was coming from the a/c. And the chairs in the room were so stained I was afraid to sit on them.

Did anyone mention this is also right beside the airport? If the planes landing and taking off didn't keep me awake, then it was the tv that emitted a strange buzzing sound every half hour or so (even though it was off). And we couldn't even reach the plug to pull it out!

Considering we had a very nice room for a cheaper price at a Comfort Inn in Augusta, this was not worh the money we paid.

When I phoned for reservations, I specifically asked if they had wi-fi in each room and they said yes. The wi-fi only worked for 1 day, then my daughter needed to sit in the lobby the 2nd night to use the lap top. Also breakfast was not as good as other 2 star hotels (the only fresh fruit they had was apples and they did not have a waffle maker), so in other words, there was toast, bagels and some cereal). The pool was also closed for 1 day (out of the 2 days we stayed in the hotel). The room was good enough. We usually go to bangor 3-4 times a year and we will not stay there again. Even though it was cheaper than other hotels, the quality was not as good.

I have stayed many times and mostly by myself - great for a single female traveling
alone - secure - parking area well lit and a restaurant a few feet from the door.
Also friendly to a well behaved pet.

Room Tip: Rooms are clean and well appointed - Beds are comfortable.

The hotel is five minutes away from the airport which was great because we had a 6am flight out. There's a shuttle too. The room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff helpful.

a good little hotel if you want a decent price for a king bed, free wi-fi and a pool, no hottub, basic free breakfast, no waffles, nice check-in staff.
