“Americana at it's best.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

First- you will never leave the table at Dysart's hungry, no order is small. Only order the tall stack of pancakes if you plan on missing lunch. This is down home American cooking, with everything cooked fresh. Second- Good luck finding a seat on Sunday morning, this is a mainstay restaurant in the Bangor area, and their breakfasts are excellent. Especially the cinnamon roll- which is served for a limited time in the morning, and probably weighs in excess of ten pounds (or so it seems). Third-you may have trouble ever trying a new dish- I can't remember the last time I ordered any regular meal that wasn't the Thanksgiving Sandwich (A whole Thanksgiving feast between two gravy soaked slices of bread). Fourth- the Deserts, especially the pies- are worth the pain of over-stuffing, just loosen your belt and enjoy. Located just off I-95, gas station attached, and open 24 hours. Stop in and enjoy.

“Can't go wrong for breakfast!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2014

This is a Bangor area classic and while lunch and dinner certainly offer great Maine classics, breakfast is often outstanding - cinnamon rolls - yum! Omelets are very decent - again, not fancy, but satisfying and tasty - homemade bread and jam for toast, too!

“Great traditional Maine experience. You've got to try the pies!”

Good traditional "home cooked" Maine food. good for the true "mainer" experience. The food is nothing fancy but delicious and their pies are amazing especially the blueberry!

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 15, 2014

If you are looking for meatloaf, a reuben sandwich, roast beef, or any of the favorites from your childhood, not to mention great pies, cakes, and cookies, you have found the place! And then there's breakfast! Open 24 hours, fast, friendly, plenty, and good.

“Convenient Location Off I-95”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014

Just south of Bangor, this restaurant is convenient to the highway and organized to provide speedy service -- just what we were looking for on our road trip. We ordered the lobster stew which came with rolls. Butter was already on the table along with a pitcher of ice water, sugar, cream for coffee, ketchup, etc. The soup was hot and there was lots and lots of lobster in it. However, it was either frozen or canned lobster -- not fresh. The flavour was good. The service was efficient and friendly.

There is also a gas bar and a convenience store at this location.
