“Bad Experience”

Bangor Waterfront Pavilion
Ranked #12 of 31 things to do in Bangor
Attraction details
Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

Venue smelled of urine or farmland waste. Bad drainage and water in gravel. Constant motorcycle noise from adjacent street. City scraped out sod and gravel, laid more drain lines under area and regraveled after removing "organic" soil. Don't think they have a solution for motorcycles.

I live right near the Bangor waterfront and have been to a few shows there. Loud, seating sucks, rednecks abound and the place smells really bad. They sell alcohol there so you have to deal with those drunken rednecks as well!

Bangor's summer concerts keep attracting growing crowds and increasingly popular performers. Lately, Phish drew an estimated sixteen thousands fans. This continued success with now a permanent staging apparatus, combined with the success of Hollywood Casino and now the opening of the new Cross Arena has definitely put Bangor on the map, attracting spectators from all over Maine and even beyond.

The Bangor Waterfront is host of many well known music acts, and is a big hit for Bangor. The waterfront will host the Bangor Festival at the end of August, and that is a very fun time with many music acts from all over the world, and great foods from near and afar. Downtown Bangor is close by for shopping as well.
