Our 4 year old and 11 year old grandchildren had great fun and learning experiences for about 3 hours. We 5 adults also enjoyed our experience. The Museum is well-designed and although it is not as large as some others, it is a clean, quality experience. The children would have stayed all day if we let them.

Went there during a rainy day on our recent Bar Harbor trip. The reviews looked pretty good, but I was disappointed. Found that the exhibits looked nice at first, but a lot of the "pieces" to play with in the exhibits were missing or broken, so not a lot for the kids to actually play with. My girls did like the Italian pizza kitchen food area. The Rockford, IL, Orlando, FL, and Madison, WI Children's museums are much better I thought.

We've been to many children's museums, and the Discovery Museum stands out as our favorite. We've especially been impressed by the variety and quality of their regular events. Today, we made fully functioning wooden birdhouses for no extra cost. There's free WI-FI and a snack room for picnic lunches. Be sure to sign up for the family membership! It's awesome.

There is so much to do and see. We love the boats in the water and library areas. They have alot of different programs and summer camp events.

We've been there a few times and at first it was very entertaining for our children and grandchildren. We recently took a couple of our newest grandbabies there and it was quite disappointing. Many of the educational hands on items were no longer working, yet still there. They talk about additional new items being brought it, but they would be better to invest in those that are broken first.
