Owner description: Bridge connecting Bailey and Orrs islands.

This is a very interesting bridge as the bridge is constructed of large blocks of rocks stacked on top of each other with no mortar used to hold the blocks together. This allows the tides and storms to pass through the bridge. I think this is the only bridge of this type remaining. There is a nice walkway the length of the bridge with a lobster shack located at the end. There is not much to do here but walk the bridge but it is definitely worth seeing.

I really don't pay much attention to small bridges but this is so cool. Large marble blocks stacked to create an amazing bridge- I am not a civil engineer so I can't really say much more about it, but very cool. We were lucky enough to go under it in a boat, what interesting engineering! Wow.

If you are driving nearby, stop and walk the bridge. It offers excellent water views and the fishing village.
