Visited here recently for a family meal. We were politely shown to our table which was away from the other tables as there was a few of us in the group. The staff were very attentive and very helpful with wine suggestions and food recommendations.
Whilst waiting on the starters we were treated to complimentary warm breads (almost like mini baguettes) and a nice tomato dip to enjoy them with. When the starters arrived they were lovely and there were no complaints apart from perhaps the portion sizes being a little on the small side, however this is not and all you can eat type of place (I also think that we wanted more just because they were so good!). The main courses that followed were equally as well received with yet again no complaints. A few of us went on to have desserts which were very good as well.
The only issue we had throughout the whole night was that after we had placed our orders the service seemed to become a little slow and less attentive. Numerous times we had to gain the staffs attention to refill drinks and such like which I think should be of paramount importance (especially at the prices paid here). We actually had to go and ask for the bill as it had been so long since anyone had been to our table at the end of the night and after it arrived because no one came back to collect it we had to get up and go to pay. I would have been able to understand it more had the restaurant been busy but there were only 2 or 3 other tables in at the same time. It's a shame that the level of service we received tapered off towards the end of the night as it took the shine away from the overall experience which was on par for 5 stars owing to the lovely food.
