Stayed here for ferry fair, great pub atmosphere all day, staff all very friendly and welcoming. Checked into the room, great views and very comfy bed! Breakfast was perfect, staff couldn't do enough to help. Bar looked busy at night but couldn't hear anything in the room.

I go very often to Edinburgh for work and because of the festival I didn't find accommodation in the usual venue... what a good strike of luck! I found this amazing place and I wont go anywhere else!
In the high street of South Queensferry you can find this wee gem.
It has its own parking!! Bliss!
The hotel's decor is very Scottish and has very lovely furniture and antiques... love the tartan carpet!!!
The room was pretty, clean and with an amazing view!
Staff are all so friendly and helpful... they just cant do enough for you!
Breakfast was yummy!! Mix of cold and hot, so having variety is not a problem, good range of cereals, they do cooked breakfast as you want it.. tea is delicious... the orange juice was not too sweet... just perfect!
it has a pub downstairs but I never heard noise, just gives a nice atmosphere :)
I will definitely be back often!!
Love it!!!

Room Tip: not all of the rooms are on-suite so do check!

Well we both arrived at the Stag about 12 o'clock as my partner had an interview next door at the Orroco Pier ( Which I am glad I didn't go into....EXPENSIVE!)...Anyway for the sake of 20 feet the Stag is spot on.We were greeted by Davie's.....(Owner).. black lab ...so I believe its dog friendly, bonus. It was quiet but I hear it can get really busy, its bigger than it looks from outside and has 5 rooms upstairs for those who are lucky enough to get a booking,again,..its half the price of other places nearby. The ales cheap and well within budget plus theres loads of choice and a surpising lager called Menabrea which was picked by the owner himself at 5%...crisp taste and goes down far to well.:)There is a dance floor at the back for those who can remember Disco and we were served by lovely member of staff who hails from Dunfermline Like myself, the bar is clean and does exactly what it says on the tin.We also met the locals and are a friendly bunch who soon had us chuckling as the banter rose,we will be returning and if there's a room going all the better, overall great wee bar and well done to Davie and the crew, see you soon !!!! :)) RAB.+ JANICE.

Room Tip: IF you want a room here book early !!!!
