Being from Lafayette means I know good food. In West Monroe for a disaster recovery conference and looking for a choice from ten restaurants within close distance was my first exposure to the name Kayla's Kitchen. What I found was a simple restaurant that was simply perfect. The selection of entrees and side dishes is impressive. The waitress was friendly and fast. The food was excellent. Including the drink, tax and dessert was an unexpected benefit. I don't think there is a better value for $9 with great home cooking and a choice of rolls or cornbread that never saw the inside of a bag or package. I'm a fan. Kayla's knows how to make a visitor feel like home.
