Went here for a lunch after walking around the grounds. The service was pretty good, and they were accommodating to fussy kids that dont like this food touching that food, etc.... they had a variety of gumbos, salads, sandwiches and main dishes in the cajun/Louisiana style. They have a cookbook and much of what they serve comes out of the cookbook. The portions were generous. I had a shrimp po boy and bread pudding for dessert, both were quite good.

We spent one night in cottage number 3 and would highly recommend. We were welcomed with cold lemonade, which was a lovely touch, and taken to our cottage. We had ordered a pre-prepared meal (recommended for a Sunday or Monday evening when many local restaurants are closed) and the dining table was already set, with the food in the fridge ready to be heated. It felt like we were dining in our own smaller version of the grander, big house. After dark, we had a wander round the grounds and it was amazing to have them almost to ourselves. Breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. This was not inexpensive, but it was a night that we won’t ever forget.

The cottages at Oak Alley Plantation are excellent, very comfortable, modern, and clean. The cottage had a spacious living area, small kitchenette, and a bathroom with a large shower. Also, each cottage had its own adjacent parking space and a nice quiet screened-in porch area. A delicious full breakfast is provided at the restaurant and is included in the rate. I'd highly recommend spending the night here if you are visiting Oak Alley Plantation.

One caveat: Be warned that there are very few dining options in the Vacherie area. Most of the restaurants are at least a 30-45 minute drive. Also be aware that virtually all of the nearby eateries are closed on Sunday and Monday (some even on Tuesday) and many are open only for breakfast and lunch, but closed for dinner. Plan out your meals carefully when staying here!

It was an amazing adventure for our little one. We had a great night in one of the little houses and enjoyed a great breakfast. We were surprised when we found a little Whirlpool in our bathroom and loved to bath there. Visiting the plantation and learning about the history were an amazing adventure for our little family.

We stayed in cottage 5B for 1 night and loved it. The setting is beautiful and walking around the grounds after everyone has left is magical. The plantation house and some of the trees are lit up at night. The cottage was very clean, spacious and filled with antiques and the bed was probably the most comfortable of our 2 week trip. Our pre ordered dinner was in the fridge when we arrived and we just heated it up in the microwave. Not usually our thing but there aren't any restaurants nearby so we chose this option and the food was very good. There was a screened in front porch with two chairs that we used until it grew dark. Relaxing there with a glass of wine was a high point of our entire trip!
