What looked like a nice warehouse turned restaurant, and judging from the name it must be a burger place, turned out to be a first-class dining experience. We walked in to white tablecloths, black-clad waiters, and outstanding food. Never thought I'd order eggplant soup but it was perfectly made with small perfectly fried and breaded pieces floating in a cream soup topped with white truffle oil. I added an appetizer of crab au gratin and we shared a plate of crawfish. My companions loved their entrees and there wasn't a crumb left when we were done. I would love to return to try more of their menu. Outstanding food and service.

Best steaks in the greater New Orleans area. Seafood is excellent as well. Veal Porterhouse, when available as a special (usually) is outstanding. House salad, covered with shaved smoked Gouda is not to be missed.

This is a small place tucked behind a drive in daiquiri shop but the interior has been done in classic steak house mode. For my money, their steaks are as good as any, including Ruth's Chris, and I don't have to cross the river. The wait staff is professional and attentive. The wine selection is good. This has been the restaurant of choice for special family dinners. But if you are craving beef at lunch, they are open then too.

First this has to be one of the smallest restaurants in the general Westbank area of New Orleans...so reservations are highly recommended. The building resembles a "bunker" more than a restaurant. Forget about looking out of the windows as you dine unless you play pro-basketball. As a whole you will find that the prices for O'Brien's are a bit higher than local WB restaurants. All that said, you will also not find a more personal staff that works to give you a more satisfying dining experience. The food, especially the steaks, is nothing less than excellent! We will defiantly be going back to O’Brien’s.

New Orleans has plenty of great restaurants, more than enough to go around. So why would anyone cross the river to the Westbank to look for more? Because O'Brien's Grille is so unbelievably good. The steaks are wonderful (and that would be enough to grab my husband's attention) but don't stop at a great steak. The chef's soups are very delicious and creative, his salads are varied and interesting and the side dishes are definetly a step above what some steakhouses offer. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the dining room is very comfortable with a cozy "club" feel. And on top of all of that, the staff is very friendly and eager to please.
