My wife and I have had coffee here a few times but boked for an evening meal with two friends. Due to the recent opening of the Secret Garden, as an addition to the already great plant nursery, it is a time of 'bedding' in. The table we were allocated upstairs provided a lovely view over the surrounding countryside. On being shown to the table it was evident that time had been taken by Anne in choosing the internal decor.
The menu was varied and one could choose a two or three course meal; both options priced favourably. The food was served by very plesant staff who were open to some well intentioned banter (Jill ... take a bow) but the evening was a most pleasant experience and the food was good as to both quality and quantity.
As this is a new venture I can somewhat sympathise with 'RINGFAN' as to their experience ... though I would say that on a subsequent visit their review may be different. We were asked by the manager as to our opinion on a set price menu for a Saturday night, so the management are thinking ahead.
Based on our first meal in this new venture this is somewhere we will frequently patronise ...
