Beautiful heritage hotel with lovely views and organic vegetable garden. Very attentive staff. We stayed in the princes room. Huge and full of ancient features. We really enjoyed our stay and wished it had been a couple of days longer.

Stayed here recently with a small group & what a find! This palace hotel has been very sensitively restored & is a delight. There are only 18 rooms so it has a real boutique feel. Each room has been beautifully decorated & is well equipped with aircon, safe etc. Ours was huge & included a lovely balcony. Situated near the town of Neem ka Thana this would be a great place for a few days of R&R. There are plenty of walking opportunities up to the Fort & the local village to explore. The hotel has its own organic garden to supply the vegies for meals which were delicious. The pool was clean & cool & surrounded by well maintained gardens

Room Tip: corner rooms have the best views & a balcony

If you are looking for something other than neemrana (snobby ppl with loads of attitude) and a weekend out of delhi, this is your place. It is 50-60 km ahead of neemrana. You leave the NH8 at kotputli, the road from kotputli to patan is 30km which will feel like 300 km as the road is really bad. however all the pains disappear when you enter the palace. must go for a relaxing weekend with some stroll in the hills and bonfire.

Room Tip: Take the room on the top floor(second floor) for the amazing view of the hills

This palace is located in a quite place...a small village on one side and surrounded by the hills on the other 3 sides. The staff is very warm and just making sure you are comfortable. They help you experience the surrounding areas like the fort on the hills, the village, the farms in the backyard which provide for their everyday supplies of food. Talking of food, it was just superb! Limited variety but difft everyday and fantastic authentic taste of Rajasthan in one of the meals with dal baatti churma, gatte ki sabzi, papad ki sabzi, ker sangri with bajra rotis. Yummm! :)
The breakfast was a mix of continental and Indian. The dining hall gives you a very traditional feel, The rooms on the terrace are the best with amazing views of the hills and also have big balconies where one can enjoy a cuppa early morning.

We stayed for 2 nights and the it was a nice relaxing stay. The rooms are big and obviousl traditionally done up 'cz its a heritage property.
The usually arrange a rajasthani dance performance in the evening. The outdoor pool is fun too in the summers 'cz u have the lovely view of the hills and the sky while you are chilling in the water.
There are a lot of other activities like table tennis, carom and other board games.

The only drawback is the way to get to the village of Patan where the palace is situated even if the staff helps you get to the palace from the village. Monsoons may not be the right time 'cz the state highways are nowhere to be seen! Its a roller coaster ride...thnks to the fab Indian govt. LOL ;)
It took 3 hrs on a 25 km stretch with traffic (while on the way bk to Delhi) and 1.5 hrs without traffic on the way to Patan.

Anyways, the property experience was amazing. I would recommend it for a 2 night break.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the terrace!

As authentic as it gets. The staff is amongst the friendliest and most helpful I've ever seen. The food is good, tasty yet not too heavy. The pool is to die for and theres plenty of walking around that can be done. The drive from Delhi is fine for the most part. The last half hour is a really bad experience though! Hopefully will improve. The haveli in itself is amongst the best I've experienced.. Full Points!! One of those undiscovered jewels most folks in Delhi are unaware of.. wonder how soon that'll cease to be the case

Room Tip: Dont see much of a difference between the rooms on the upper floors (1000 bucks higher) and the lowe...

Patan is around 180 kms from Delhi on Kotputli - Sikar state highway, 25 km from Kotputli. However, travelling in normal sedan during monsoon in state highway is largely challenging, as this road is like lunar landscape filled with water. This road in monsoon can simply be termed as shame to any independent country.
However, once we reached Patan, the village where Patan Mahal is located, it compensates all the trouble we took to reach there. A person from the hotel came to outskirt of the town to guide us to hotel. The hotel was the residence of erstwhile rulers of the place, located just outside the town and is surrounded by Aravalli hills on three sides at close vicinity. There are remians of old grandeur on hills visible from the palace - a palace and a fort. Remains of city walls reflects affluence the place saw in the past.
In monsoon, hills are very green. The place looks serene with green foliage around, lots of birds, bees and butterflies. Palace is full of flowers, orchards and vegetables garden and a nice relaxing swimming pool. The palace maintained its old charater even after adding modern facilities like airconditioners etc. Rooms are big and well maintained. Furnitures are with old world charm. The place is physically challenged friendly.
Terrace rooms have great views. We stayed in rooms 305 and 306. Both rooms had great set up and views. Room 306 is on the facade and have a covered balcony facing old fort on the hill. Room 305 is a corner room and have an open terrace. One can see old fort from the terrace. Ground floor rooms are good for people who have limited mobility. Room no 103 in ground floor is good and well lit, which we used for aged people. It's a corner room with view of hills and trees. However, it doesn't have a balcony.
Lunch, dinner and breakfast are served in dining room. Food was good – both in terms of quality and variety. Number of dishes are certainly limited compared to any buffet meal we get in Gurgaon and Delhi. But this facilitates to limit wastage and gives guests opportunity to try different menu every day and it's tasty.
Hotel provided us with a guide for visiting fort on top of the hill, which a moderately difficult walk for physically active urban persons and takes around 75-90 minutes to reach on top of the hills, while it takes around 25-30 minutes to reach the remains of the palace on the middle of the hill. Hill top has a good view of surroundings - valley, water bodies - dried up and with water, both and hills around.
Lastly, need to mention about Mr. Tripathy and his entire team for excellent quality of personalized service, which is certainly a differentiating factor for this property. Team has excellent communication mechanism. Nobody ever said that it’s not their job and we need to speak someone else, yet service is delivered fast. We appreciate the effort.

Room Tip: Terrace rooms, 305/306 or similar rooms. All terrace rooms have view.
