“A Truly Unique Cajun Experience”
Reviewed January 24, 2010

We reserved 3 cabins and stayed here for several days for a family reunion of sorts, and practically had the place to ourselves the entire time. The cabins are in the middle of the woods and completely secluded from other areas of the property, and it was so quiet in the evenings that we all sat outside in the rocking chairs on our cabin’s porches to visit. (But just beware to bring your bug spray, Louisiana swamp bugs are large and very hungry!) The cabins were clean and authentically furnished, and our A/C worked great. Our cabin had a fully equipped kitchen in case we wanted to cook and eat in, and even had a full size refrigerator. They do have wireless internet access, but television reception was poor. There were videos and a player if you really wanted to watch something on the TV.

We were given tickets for each day of our stay to have free breakfasts at the restaurant in the nearby Cajun Village. The staff there was so friendly and accommodating, and the food and service were really excellent. There are several other little Cajun shops in the village, as well as a pond with a real alligator.

My mother and aunt dealt directly with the owners, who accommodated all of our special requests. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay, would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others. It was truly a unique travel experience.

My husband and I just returned from a one night stay at this lovely cottage, located deep in Cajun Country. It was quite lovely and charming. The one bedroom cottage (cottage #2) is quite roomy with a living room, bedroom, dinning room, kitchen, and bathroom. All for the same price that a standard hotel room would cost you. It was just beautiful. There was a lovely front porch to sit on with 2 rocking chairs.

We found it to be very easy to locate and the management very friendly and helpful.

There is a charming little Cajun Village and coffee shop on the corner , that have antigues, gifts and breakfast. My husband and I were there to attend the "Pinks all Out" Drag Race over in Belle Rose, LA so outside of that I'm not sure what all there is to do there. I know there are many lovely Plantation homes located in the area.

There were only two minor inconviences about staying at this Bed & Breakfast. There was only a very tiny TV that recieved 5 stations, and we were told this before we got there so it was no big deal. There was a very good internet connection to offset that issue. Secondly, I don't know if the beautiful hardwood floors had recently been varnish or if the furniture had been polished with some sort of linseed oil, if there were some kind of glad plug in...but there was a strong odor in the little cottage, that was relieved for the most part by opening the door and windows to air out.

I would recommend this Bed & Breakfast to all who enjoy that type of experience.
