We reserved 3 cabins and stayed here for several days for a family reunion of sorts, and practically had the place to ourselves the entire time. The cabins are in the middle of the woods and completely secluded from other areas of the property, and it was so quiet in the evenings that we all sat outside in the rocking chairs on our cabin’s porches to visit. (But just beware to bring your bug spray, Louisiana swamp bugs are large and very hungry!) The cabins were clean and authentically furnished, and our A/C worked great. Our cabin had a fully equipped kitchen in case we wanted to cook and eat in, and even had a full size refrigerator. They do have wireless internet access, but television reception was poor. There were videos and a player if you really wanted to watch something on the TV.
We were given tickets for each day of our stay to have free breakfasts at the restaurant in the nearby Cajun Village. The staff there was so friendly and accommodating, and the food and service were really excellent. There are several other little Cajun shops in the village, as well as a pond with a real alligator.
My mother and aunt dealt directly with the owners, who accommodated all of our special requests. Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay, would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others. It was truly a unique travel experience.
