The Cub is a venerable Shreveport hangout. It is famous for its steaks (and not for its ambience which does not exist). It's a hole-in-the-wall. Despite the diner atmosphere, I love the potatoes au gratin-- but who wouldn't as they are loaded with butter, cheese and sour cream! The wedge salad is a joke as it is tasteless iceberg lettuce. The house dressing is good, though. And the steaks are waaaaaay too expensive. Wil is a great cook but he has a heavy hand with the seasoning rub. Try this place once just to say you've been there, but bring you credit card! By the way, no-one under 21 can eat here, as you have to walk through the bar to get to the restaurant and they are VERY keen on carding everyone!
