Really great sandwich place and fun historic atmosphere. The large Muffy is HUGE! We stopped in on a long trip south and enjoyed the food and I really like the mint tea. This place is loved by the locals and was easy to find in GPS right off the highway.

One of the best muffaletta sandwiches you will eat. Also, get the Italian sweet tea, it is sweet and minty.

Fertitta's is that place where the locals go for a no-hassle lunch. Not much on decor or modern styling, but that's part of the charm. Get a small Muffy, a bag of Zapps Crawtaters and a red solo cup full of that spiced mint tea, eat it real slow and leave smiling!

Fertitta's Delicatessen is historic and hard to find but well worth the effort! Though the prices are a little high you get what you pay for in size and flavor. The atmosphere is historic and worth a trip itself. The muffaletta flavor is so amazing that you have to try it yourself to see. Just find Fertitta's Delicatessen and give it a try you won't be disappointed!

I've been to Fertitta's only once but enjoyed the po-boy sandwich I got there. Like Herby-K's, Fertitta's is difficult to find. I want to try to find it again to try another sandwich.
