over priced food that has been lowered in flavor to match the locals tastes here--needs to jazz it up a bit.

“The best Mexican food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is top notch mexican food. Excellent waitress and service. Guacamole made at table that was the best I have ever had. The warm bean salsa was fantastic! They also have a cold salsa. Not your typical mexican restaurant.

“Love this place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

The fresh table side made Guacomole is the best! We have eaten at Cantina Loredo about 6 times and have been very pleased with the service every time. There is plenty of staff and they are friendly and attentive. The food is different and wonderful. I love the avacado and artichoke enchiladas!

“Much better than regular Mexican chains”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

The warm bean salsa is the perfect start to the meal. The botanas appetizer platter is a nice combination and big enough to make a meal. The cevichei is the best I have had in Shreveport! Make sure to save room for the warm apple pie and ice cream dessert.

“More than a Tex-Mex chain”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 21, 2012

I have been going here for a long time. I ask for the same server, Adelia, which probably goes a long way in getting great service. I have tried most things on the menu, all very good. If you're expecting typical Tex-Mex, this is not it. Things tend to run on a higher culinary taste scale.

Having said that, my favorite meal is simple. Guacamole with chips. The dip is freshly made at table side and can be customized to taste but I ask for everything. Nothing beats fresh guacamole. Then it's steak fajitas. Tender beef strips well done with plenty of peppers and onions to go along. Plenty of hot tortillas. I usually opt for a side order of horacho beans though sometimes black beans. Both good. For drinks, normally the house margarita, frozen, with salt. It is both large and strong. I would consider it two drinks.
