“Awesome!”

We booked this at the last minute and got a Louisiana Tech student rate. Everyone was so friendly from the front desk, housekeepers, maintenance, and breakfast person. Very clean, modern, and quiet too. Breakfast was delicious also. Will definitely stay here every time I am in Ruston.

Spent the night here for the July 4 holiday (our second stay at this particular hotel) and was equally as impressed this time as the last. During the week they have a snack and drink reception from 5-7 pm, along with the breakfast every morning (the waffle maker had the Saints logo so you could have a beautiful waffle to look at). And the pool was something my girls enjoyed a lot. The staff was nice as well. They also gave you a free local newspaper and USA Today.

We were happy to find a vacancy at nearly 3:00am on the weekend before July 4. Not expecting much, we pulled into the Sleep in and were pleasantly surprised. It is a nice hotel inside and out.
Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and cool. The beds were great and I slept like a baby (no easy feat). I would definitely stay here again. Well done, Sleep Inn - Ruston.

Stayed here one night an liked it. No complaints about the clean room. Nice decor, comfy bed. Our room was on the back side so we didnt hear any interstate noise.

Breakfast was OK but not great. They do have hot items like eggs and sausage, plus make your own fresh waffles. Nice breakfast area.

Dislikes: Old and stale danish pastries. Not so fesh biscuits. We were at breakfast for 30 minutes and place was full. From even before we got there and after we left, both trash cans were full to the top. It was hard to trhow anything cause u almost had to push w your hand. That is unpleasant. An employee came in and threw a cup in the FULL trash and left.

This is a very nice hotel, on a hill in, right along the highway in Ruston. It is quiet enough and the staff is very courteous and attentive. I would stay here again anytime. It is as others noted a little difficult to get to due to the one way service roads adjacent to the highway. There are several food and shopping choices nearby.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear, even numbers, are away from the highway.

Having had good luck at other Sleep Inn locations around the US and Canada I thought I'd give this one a try. It ended up being a nice place. It's unbelievably confusing to get here, however. The one-way streets in this area are mind-blowing, you have to go way around several blocks to get here, and once you're here, you have to go several blocks again to go the other way towards town. I've never seen anything like that before. But, other than that, once you're here it's a nice hotel. It had much, much, much too much adjacent room noise for me, I could clearly hear people in the two adjacent rooms talking and hear their TV sets blaring! That was super disappointing and is the only reason I didn't give the hotel an excellent rating.

The room was clean with just one big spot of something; a black, oily blob on the carpet, but otherwise it was super clean. The bathroom didn't seem to have bright enough lighting for me. It could have been the darker finishes soaking up the lighting possibly? The tan floor tile and tan/yellow/orange wallpaper seemed to not bounce the light around as much as white surfaces do. But, everything worked and there were nice toiletries and towels and a nice, non-slip tub and shower that worked great. As in most hotels, the housekeeping staff could maybe spray some "Lysol" type spray on the bottom of the shower curtain to try to keep the mildew odor down a bit, it was a little much. But again, other than a couple of nit-picking things the room was great.

Breakfast was plentiful with scrambled eggs (although, I got there an hour after they opened and the remaining bits were hard and a bit crusty so I passed on them), bacon, biscuits and gravy, packets of oatmeal and grits, yogurt, great apples and oranges, coffee and tea, everything you'd expect in a hotel breakfast. The exercise room was great with two nice treadmills, an eliptical machine, and a bike-type machine. The pool and hot tub looked great but I didn't use them. The front desk folks were nice. At one point my key card quit working (I travel 200 days a year so I know very well to NOT put it in the same pocket as my cell phone), and it took three tries to get a card that worked. I have no clue what that was about, but it worked finally.

There are quite a few restaurants and fast food places closeby, a great local coffee shop about a block away, a huge Walmart and numerous self-serve car washes and almost anything you'd need. I'd recommend this hotel for sure, but be prepared for some adjacent room noise. If you don't mind that, it'll be a good stay for you.

We stopped here for a night on a recent trip and overall it was okay. The room was comfortable with nice queen size beds for my wife and our two kids. The beds were in good condition as was the rest of the room with no visible signs of significant wear. The bathroom was well stocked with nice thick towels and plenty of shampoo and soap. We enjoyed breakfast downstairs with make your own waffles, bread, cereal, bacon and eggs and other items typical of most hotels now. The only complaint I might express would be the size of the pillows, but that's not to say they were too small, it's just my own personal preference to have a larger. All in all though, this was a great place to stay with easy access on/off the interstate and plenty of things close by. Even though I only rated it 4/5, I really don't have anything bad to say about this hotel.
