Great little park. Has a little something for everyone, playground, swim beach, campsites, hiking trails and one of the best biking trails in the USA. You will think you are miles away from civilization but Ruston is less than 15 minutes away.

“This park is a hidden gem in North Louisiana”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014

LPP is a true hidden treasure for locals and visitors alike. It offers so many things for people of all ages. World Class Mtn. Biking, a barrier free handicap accessible playground, a beach for swimming, a lake for fishing, primitive and RV camping, open and enclosed pavilions, and some of the greatest beauty that nature can provide.

“Large park with ammenities!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

As I traveled from one end of Ruston to the other on my way to this park I felt I was leaving Ruston and going elsewhere. The drive from downtown to Lincoln Parish Park will take about 15 minutes and it seems you are just about leaving Ruston. You drive through a residential area before getting to the park entrance. If you are unfamiliar with the area you will definitely think you are lost! Just keep going. There is an entrance fee (per person) and off you will go to wander inside. There are two large playground areas, secluded picnic areas with large grills, covered tables, bathrooms and even a kitchen area (just sinks, and counter space). The lake is large but when I was there it was rather green so I didn't try it out. There is also a fishing area and many many trails to explore. Great relaxing location for celebrations, etc.

I attended a crawfish boil event here with about 200 others on a very hot day and not once was I bothered by any mosquitoes, or other bugs or found it incredibly hot as we were always under cover.

“A Beautiful Park!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

Arrived here yesterday afternoon with my son and granddaughter. First visit ever! Eleven year old granddaughter will compete in a mountain bile race tomorrow morning. This park is heavily wooded, has great facilities, including picnic sites, full hookup RV sites, primitive camping sites, all of which are well equipped. The park is located on small lake and is simply beautiful. There are several docks on the lake for fishing, sunbathing or picnicking. Bring your canoe or kayak and enjoy the lake. It has a sandy beach area for swimming, and three lifeguard towers, presumably manned during the busy summer months. It has a network of walking /jogging trails, bike trails and so much more. The entire park is remarkably well equipped and pristine. We'll be back! :-))

“A great family park”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

I have been going to this park for quite sometime and I still enjoy it. Went this summer with my grandchildren several times and we all had a fun time. Plenty of tables that don't need a reservation to use and there are bathrooms to use. It is a good place to spend some time swimming and you can bring food and drinks in so that saves money. I like the fact that there are lifeguards on duty to provide that extra measure of safety. There are areas you can reserve if you are having a party or get together. I have reserved a couple in the past and felt it was worth the money I spent. There is also a play area there named Legacy Park and it is wonderful. It affords a place for all children to play and have fun regardless of their abilities. If you haven't been there is no time like the present. I hope you enjoy our Park here in Ruston, Louisiana.
