“Stale Candy”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

We stopped in to visit on our way east; made curious by the big billboard advertising the world's largest Gummy Bear. Really nice shop; really friendly and personable employees. We were so excited to buy special treats for our granddaughter. The fudge is good; can't comment on the ice cream because we didn't try it. The selection of candy is awesome; however, you must be selective because we discovered some distance away that much of the candy is very stale! The pre-packaged candy in plastic had an old plastic taste to it, not even able to eat it; the boxed candy tasted stale; never before tasted stale caramel until now. The chocolate is cheap tasting and old. The taffy is tasty, but crumbles when you open the wrapper. Haven't tasted the gummy candy we bought for our granddaughter yet; hope it is not a disappointment.

“Horrible Service”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

We couldn't even get truffles, ice cream, or any other service because the staff was too busy gossiping. It seemed like a nice place, but the service was non existent. We went to get candy for us and our friends, but after the lack of service we went to Dairy Queen instead.

“Sweet treats for everyone!!”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

LOVED it here! Worth a stop - huge gummy bears, huge selection of candies (well priced) and a large range of ice cream (delicious ice cream too!) and the staff were super friendly!

I got some red velvet fudge which was DIVINE, a bag full of taffy and my brother had his picture taken with Bob!

Make the pit-stop, you won't regret it!

“Really fun - Candy from when I was a child..”
Reviewed July 31, 2012

We stopped here for the first time and just adored the store. Candy from wall to wall - fresh, homemade fudge that is to-die-for, and some ice cream if the other stuff doesn't suit your fancy. The 26 lb. gummy bear was a hoot, as well as the Candland games from all the different eras displayed in the store.

I highly recommend this for anyone traveling I-10 through Louisiana - it is a quick stop of the interstate, but a great way to take a break from the long drive.

“This Place is Wonderful!!!!!”
Reviewed July 21, 2012

We love stopping here every time we travel to/from Walt Disney World! The root beer candy is the same as I used to have as a child!! There are old and new treats in every corner of the store! My grandsons love to look at the HUGE gummy bears and have ice cream.

The staff is friendly, very nice and makes you feel welcome! I'm looking forward to a visit in September, when we are again Disney bound.
